I really like Red. They have a lot of good heavy but melodic songs. They use a lot of background strings in their songs that kinda differentiate them from other bands. Also I believe they are a Christian rock band. Though that has nothing to do with why I like them. You should try something like "Let Go" from them

Glad you guys got to hear 'em. This is definitely one of their most "art" songs from their most "art" album. Judging from what Manny said, he'd probably dig some of their older stuff.

1 for me. I show up late at every concert Red is the opener at. Diff'rent stroke for diff'rent folks! 1. The Mars Volta - The Widow (prog rock) 2. Steam Powered Giraffe - Automatonic Electronics Harmonics (steam punk musical comedy) 3. Mandroid Echostar - The Sleeping (prog metal, Coheed and Cambria type vocalist) 4. Red Hot Chili Peppers - Wet Sand (you already knows) 5. Thomas Giles - Sleep Shake (solo project from vocalist of Between the Buried and Me) 6. Closure In Moscow - Seeds Of Gold (prog rock) 7. Arch Echo - Color Wheel (instrumental prog? a wow band like polyphia) 8. Weezer - The Greastest Man That Ever Lived (a theme song for both of you :D) 9. Death Cab For Cutie - Soul Meets Body (alt rock) 10. JUSTICE - Fire (electronic duo) 11. Native Construct - Mute (prog metal) 12. Ne Oblivascarus - And Plague Flowers the Kaleidoscope (prog metal with violin and AWESOME musicianship) 13. Closure In Moscow - Seeds of Gold (prog rock) 14. Snarky Puppy - Shofukan (YOU'RE WELCOME) 15. Haken - Streams (prog metal) cuz why stop at 10? :D

Red is one of a group of Christian bands that's very subtle with it's message. I happen to like them. My favorite group in the genre by far is Skillet. So many great songs and so subtle that you can't tell they're Christian. I discovered them on my Disturbed radio station on Pandora. The song Rebirthing was my intro to them (one of many 5's in my opinion) kzbin.info/www/bejne/o2ixmqKebdykadk

For a first listen, it was hard to get into the song, however I feel this song has potential to grow on you the more times you listen. There were parts of the song where I liked the melody but it wasn't enough to keep me interested. The vocal spacing with the lyrics, reminded me of Ross from "Friends", when he tries to get a sentence out. Sorta annoying but can grow on you. I'm at 2.0 for this song.

I liked the effort in difference. Not my thing, but it was ok. 2.9 Nothing beats the taste sensation when maple syrup collides with ham.

A lot of very cool elements in this song. Cool riffs great production and nice vocals. Unfortunately not a good song. I agree with Manny. This song didn’t go anywhere. Lots of smoke and mirrors but no substance imo. 2.0 *my recommendation [Joe Bonamassa Live @ Rockpalast “Takin’ The Hit” ]

"That was good. [...] I give it a 1." Dime a dozen. Elements are not coming together. Classical sprinkles are really not that original. Just when I was about to get into stuff with chunky riffs you had to introduce me to King Crimson and David Sylvian...
