Red White Ryukin Goldfish and Babies - Main Tank

They are 9 months old now. Some of the babies from tank 1 will move in later. The mother is quite fit and swimm happily with her kids. Meahwhile the father is in the quarantine tank.
I feed the babies only once a day since the last two months so that they don`t grow too fast and grow with nicer color, which I read from a goldfish magazine my best friend gave me.

I honestly think this is one of the nicest goldfish aquariums I have ever seen. I just got a baby Ryukin, any recommendations on feeding to make him grow big?

Thank you and congratulation on your baby ryukin. How old is the baby now? I feed them the same fish pellets for the adults. I just crushed the fish food pellets with aquarium water before feeding them when they were small. When they are bigger, I used knife to chop the pellets smaller before feeding them. For them to grow faster, feed little but few times a day.

are those Ryukin Yellow and white? or is it just the lighting? they are beautiful!! I have four right now. all juvenile I have 1 calico, 2 orange and white and 1 black and orange. I will be transferring them to a 55 Gallon tank next week. what filter would you suggest for them?

Where are you from? I used only Tetra External Filter. The Tetra EX 800 plus is strongly recommended. It is efficient and not expensive. Important is to read the maintenance instructions throrougly to understand how the maintain the filter efficiently.
