My Visit to Fancy Goldfish Store in the Hague in Netherlands

Here is the video of the goldfishes from Fancy Goldfish Store in the Hague in Netherlands in January 2018. It has huge selection of Goldfishes to offer. They are not active at the moment because the water was cold, about 15 degrees.

You are Very lucky to have such high quality fish and such a huge selection. In the US you have to pay top dollar for most of the fish in the video and you have to get them in the mail. You just can't get high quality Goldfish in a local fish store. Great video!!!

I’ve been there last year. Almost all tanks were overcrowded, a lot of sick fish and also a few dead fish. I decided not to buy anything there. It didn’t look good at all. If you are from holland go to Hesa Koi in Maarssen. They don’t have a lot but they can get you very pretty healthy fancy goldfish.

Overcrowding is fine because they are not permanently housed there, they are for display. As long as the water quality is maintained. These fish are high quality from overseas and the dead fish are probably the result from long transit times. It's sad but not unusual.

Bought my thai oranda's here they're the best (and expensive) but he sorts them himself in Thailand and China to ship them to Voorschoten (fancy goldfishstore) A-ma-zing Love the efford he puts into them

Good God the Ryukins look 10x better then the one's Petco sells 😂. I got some imported and it costed me a pretty penny but you can tell the difference in terms of quality

If you look closely you will notice these are high quality fish from Asia and not from some backyard pond. They probably spent over 15 hours in transit so they will need some time to recover and adjust to the lower temperature in Europe.

sorry for the late answer. It depends on the quality of the goldfish. I would say it should be from 40 Euros to 300 Euros. I have paid mine from 80 to 200 Euros.

Cold water has nothing to do with it. Goldfish thrive very well in ponds where temperatures are not that high either. They just not that active because they're not in healthy conditions

Goldfish can cope with colder temperatures but they certainly do not thrive in it. Cold water slows down the metabolism and they become less active. This is the reason why they are only bred in warmer climates.

America, England and other country's that have wonderful fish.( even your average fish) blow away anytthing we have in new zealand as we have had a ban on import for many years as our border control is very very strict because they carry many deaseases , we are forced to in breed so count your selves lucky

in our country there are many diverse fauna and flora and we are very guarded, unfortunately we don't have the luxury of importing wonderful goldfish from the motherland and America or anywhere for that matter there are goldfish diseases that the biosecurity deem to toxic to our fragile ecosystem, and punish breeders like my self ,we cant even enjoy koi as they too are a pest here, the goldfish (Carassius auratus) carry a type of (CyHV-3) ..also known as koi herpes Cyprinid herpesvirus-3....................which has spread to every content and island that have gold fish and koi.

@@tewkk2010 England is already home to many introduced species of carp due to their long history in international trade. They have recently started cracking down on the import of temperate fish species But it's a little like closing the stable door after the horse bolted lol. I am near the great lakes and we have a lot more restrictions than other parts of the country because the dangers of an invasive species could be catastrophic should they reach the lakes.

Hi. I must say your goldfish are beautiful. However, someone left a very critical comment concerning the fish lying dead and sickly looking fish also your place didn't look good so they decided not to buy anything from your store. My advice, if I may, remove dead or sickly fish from your tanks. Add some plastic colored plants in your tanks. Goldfish need to see plants so they can thrive naturally. Last but not least, create a big sale and sell those fish.
