Company of Heroes: I.o. Normandy Campaign Playthrough Part 13 (Mortain Counterattack, No Commentary)

This is the Invasion of Normandy (Original) campaign playthrough for Company of Heroes with no commentary.
Playing on normal difficulty.
I am planning to complete all primary objectives and secondary objectives, as well as getting the award/badge/medal for each mission.
Loading times have been sped up to save time.

This mission is insane!!! Not to mention the medal. The enemy always spawns crapload of tanks and halftracks it's infuriating.

Based on my experience repeating this mission again and again, its difficulty depends on how many forces that you still have from the previous mission and the company support that you choose (Easy for Airborne, Challenging for Infantry, and Hard for Armor)

I found it amusing watching this lol “oh okay he has all his stuff in the original spots” and the. You look at the hill and it’s just a blob of AT and machine guns.

My unit is Ranger, AT and MG with Halftrack plus 1 sniper and engineer .. it's really hard here 😂😂, but i enjoyed it so much haha

This map is nearly impossible without modding the game. The map starts with no ability to build any troops due to the population cap. The germans attack 4 positions simultaneously (original base, east of original base, north of hill, west of hill). All of their infantry have panzerschreks, so the 3 tanks you start the map with are destroyed within a minute. Any infantry trying to support the tanks are killed by enemy snipers. The snipers are behind 88s, so trying to take them out with tanks leads to all tanks being destroyed.

Well this mission starting units is based on your remaining units from the previous mission. It was a little difficult since most of my units were MG weapon teams and ATs, but I managed to complete it without using mods. Just focus one enemy base first while leaving a few units behind for defence. Engineers can help repair your vehicles/tanks, while the sherman crab tanks can clear mines. The 88s and snipers (while deadly) fires slowly, so I just rush them with infantry units.

Bruh i always fail this mission, because the previous mission, lot of casualties occur and almost every of my infantry died. Only halftrack and some damn m8 armored to fight the numerous panzer and the stug.

Yea, the units you get for the start of this mission is based on the previous mission remaining units. You would probably have to re-do the previous mission and keep most of your units alive before completing it. That way, you can have a better chance to complete this mission.

This is the easiest mission in the game You just need to capture 3 of the victory points and hold them until they lose their points Just set some perimeters and MGs on the hill because it's the most place will be attached

The units you get in the start of this mission is based on your remaining units you have left from the previous mission. I did have quite a few AT and MG squads for this mission, they worked for the previous mission but it was harder for this one as I couldn't built more regular infantry. If you are struggling to complete this mission, you may have to redo the previous mission and try not to lose many units. Engineers are good units to have as they can repair both vehicles and the AT and MG weapons if they get damaged. For this mission, I split up my army into 2, one for defending the hill and the other to attack the enemy bases (attack one base at a time).

Why? Was my gameplay not good enough? This mission was a little hard as I got all my AT crews and machine gun teams from the last mission and couldn't built more units like rifleman or paratroopers. So having to split up my forces between defending the center and attacking the enemy bases were a little hard cause I didn't have proper 'offensive' units.

I took longer to react cause I was deciding how many AT crews and machine gun teams I should keep at the hill for defence and how many I should take for my offensive army, also I had to deploy my weapon teams/positioning them in order for them to be able to attack. So this took a bit of decision and I also couldn't built any more units due to reaching the population capacity. I would have preferred if I could use paratroopers, rifleman along with my tanks for offence along with just a few AT/machine gun teams for support instead of having almost nothing but the weapon teams, so my strategy was a little different than usual. Hope that makes sense.
