I never connected my accessory wire on my 150 Prado but now thinking I should. His logic is right I’ll do it this weekend. Thanks for your videos!

What 12v signal did Dan tap into in the fuse box for the blue trigger wire? I have a 2009 150 prado, but all the fuses I checked seemed to have 12v going to them even with the ignition off. I'll check again tonight in case Ive missed something.

How is your battery going being 105ah with a 40ah charger? Curious is this should shorten the life of the battery significantly

I have had no issues with the battery. It's worked really well with the redarc considering the battery had a hard life when we went to Cape York just over a year ago. I initially raised this with Dan, however his expert opinion was that it would work just fine. The battery is still going, and the redarc is doing an awesome job.

Do you mind telling me What size battery and what brand did you use for this setup?

Hey there. I'm using a 105 amp hour AGM battery, it's a supercharge battery from Autobarn. It's been great and withstood a hard life. Still keeps my Kings Upright fridge going 24hrs a day 😁👍

Good video, helped me a lot with my current Redarc installation, I was unsure initially weather to put the accessory wire in as other video said its not needed, but definitely will now after hearing the reason why you should.... A quick question, how did the accessory wire get into the fuse box, drilled a hole in the plastic box or squashed through the lid? cheers

Thanks mate. Yes, that wire is slipped under fuse box cover on the right hand side of it. It easily just goes under. Yes, the REDARC is working a treat now since having it installed. I especial like how it does the solar as well. When camping the solar brings the battery up to full charge without running the car.
