It looks pretty frigging Mean.I think you all did great on this build too.(I watched a video,yesterday,of people taking a $13 plastic trash can,and making 2 fenders of 1,and welding together a strap steel mount to each wheel and bolting the 'fenders'on them.I'm sure you can do so as well).Oh,wait...That was 'Rather Be Welding'.

Man, coming from my background of off-road racing it blows my mind to see forward facing front A-arms. That would be a huge no no in the stuff I do, having a forward facing arms taking hits and impacts would tear the suspension apart and it puts huge stress loads on the frame. You want the "flow" of travel to be away from the direction of your movement so the suspension can move with/away from the obstacles, not having to face in to it and move towards them.
@FarmerFpv2 жыл бұрын
The arms are not level, they are high-sided on the front, so all the impact goes into the shock. They work great. 1/8 scale RC racing buggies and truggies are the same way.

Did you know that you can just bend the exhaust pipe to A 95° angle turn so it's away from the frame with out cutting the flange off. Then you'll just only half to make the mounting bracket for stabilizing the muffler is all.

Hey great work ,you have come a long way sence episode 1,I would like your opinion on a engine choice looking for most power torque and hp from a big block for a dongzan single seater had a 150cc this is adult driven only,you seem to have long experience with different engine manufacturers, would you go with the 625cc zongshen e620 i like the fact that it has a charging system for lights and to keep battery charged that was my first choice, or a 18hp duromax with external alternator, or a harbor freight 459cc with external alternator, all 3 of these would be upgraded for safety with the usual exhaust carburetor rod and cam bullet flywheel, unfortunately the zongshen 625cc doesn't have a bullet flywheel available yet maybe because of magnets in flywheel and no one wanting to bult a flywheel at this time 🤔 it seems a camshaft isent available for the 625cc either, I could be mistaken on that,there is not a lot of information available yet on the 625cc engines but it seems like a promising engine as the performance world catches up to building performance parts for this engine, so my question is would you go with the 625cc zongshen 620,and just do the upgrades available at this time carburetor exhaust bullet rod and clean the cylinder head up with some port matching and bowl blending and live with it for now ,or would you go with a predator 459 or a tried and true duromax 18hp ,my second choice would be the duromax, what is your recommendation for a beast of a engine down the road ,I just don't want to install and fabricate a engine and cut into the buggy to have to change the engine down the road 😉 😀 thank you for any suggestions you might have on my father son grandson project ,,I do have a honda goldwing 1500cc 6 cylinder complete, but,its just to flipping heavy, things like 300 lbs,😆 thanks again sorry for long post but I couldn't think of a better guy with more experience with multiple engines and manufacturers that could guide us towards the right choice,we love sitting down and watching your channel together go karts and buggies are not as fast as motorcycle engine swaps ,but thats not what its about, we like the old school way of modifying actual mini bike go kart buggy engines and working with pretty much what most of these came with.allthough a motorcycle engine swap is also pretty kool making a kart a actual insaine monster of a beast,God bless and take care.best wishes to you your family and friends.

Very impressive machine. I really enjoy following and learning from these builds. What is the material you use for the black side panels. I would like to use the same when My build gets to that point. I am using a Polaris 2WD trail boss transmission , 2 speeds and a reverse. Like you I am thinking the low range should be helpful climbing hills without abusing the CVT.

@willieshaw25222 жыл бұрын
Kinda confused on where the "diff" you keep mentioning is. Is there a differential in the rear jackshaft, where the brake rotor and sprocket are attached, so the axles can spin at different speeds? I doubt if that's the case, since you would effectively have 1 tire braking and 1 traction tire. If the F-N-R box had a diff in it - it would have 2 outputs - either 1 for each rear axle, like a riding mower trans-axle - or separate power outputs for front and rear axles that could spin at different speeds. I'm seeing a gearbox and a jackshaft, but no differential - what am I missing?

you should invest in a set of air tools and cut down on your e waste. compressed air tools last for generations, i don't understand why less and less people are opting for compressed air now when its always been king. i think it's lunacy to run a workshop on battery power tools, i might just be old school though, a good set of air tools will be soo much more capable, versatile, efficient and a damn site lot longer lasting, there's also that slightly arousing factor from the sound of an air gun removing wheel nuts you just won't get from any electric motor
@RedBeardsGarage2 жыл бұрын
The reason I use battery over air is I simply don't want the hose laying around the floor while I'm working. There is a time when I do use air over electric but its only when Its necessary.
@ProbeGT22 жыл бұрын
If there's one thing air tools suck big time, it IS efficiency. Man i don't know if you're 120 years old but cordless powertools evolved so much in the last 10 years i can't even imagine what they will be in 10 years.
