Oh my gosh, Juna. I’ve just checked out your link to merch titans, automation. I’ve watched the setting up your spreadsheets video and I’m blown away. Do you know how many hours of work setting up all my designs in excel is gonna save me once it automates and does tags for me. And it’s free! Finding the right tags for my designs can sometimes take me 1-2 hours! The screenshot method is also a good idea. I was doing copy, paste, but then I would have to remove the html from the tags, etc. thank you so much!!!

With the new change you can only have 15 tags if you are doing more that 15 RedBubble will not save them

I know about tag spamming, from selling on Ebay for 23 years. Can I use the tag ( NFL ), when selling a T shirt "I love American football", without getting a copyright strike? PS: The NFL word, or logo wont be mention in the description, or the t shirt. Another example would be "I love MMA" using the tag (UFC)

Yes you can.... add all relevant tags to your design. If your design is a mashup then you can use tags that make sense

You can use the same tags as someone if they are relevant. Don't use tags that don't relate to your design. Don't post the same tags over and over either.

I don't understand the function of tags. Let's say I use a tag (i.e Skeleton) which has 197k results.This means my work will be on the very last page of the list. So I should use alternative,but also relevant to my artwork words,correct? One with like 1k results should be ok? Should I use this tactic for all of my 15 tags?

Tags help people find your work... You don't get put in the back of the line necessarily... Your rank on the pages depends on your sales + views + overall popularity .... My guess is that everyone gets a chance on page 1 at some point so that the algorithm can see if your design will sell or get clicked on.... If your design is good but no one can find it then that would be bad too.... So tags is just part of the winning combo... Hopefully that makes sense.

Remember these 2 things.... Create designs that people want to buy/wear.... Create designs that people are interested in/looking for.

Here is the difference... The Pro version gets you product tracking, keyword traking, more trademark tracking, the graphics pack and the upload automation. I believe you still get the competition checker on both.

Yes, kind of.... I like using certain multiple word combos that RedBubble suggests in the tags.... sometimes they are repeats of words but I think that's okay

Hey, I had a question that is what if we are using double words like Golden Gate as a tag then as you said we don't need to mention the single words as tags but what if let's take "Golden Gate" the phrase has 1K results on the platform and the individual words have let's say 10k and we tag it single worded like Golden, Gate. Then will it appear on the "Golden Gate" phrase which has 1k results? (Does Single Word tagging shows up in Double Worded Phrase results?). Also, what would you recommend, are both the same?

Great question.... I don't know if it happens in reverse. I never tested it. I was just reading what RedBubble said on their blog post. If I had to guess I would say it doesn't happen in reverse. I would stick with Golden Gate the multi word version.

Well RedBubble says that the don't allow spamming and a bunch of them have been taken down but there are still a bunch of people still doing it....they may get taken down over time... I wouldn't risk my account by doing this.

With trending keywords, I put the filter to bestseller and more often then not the best sellers have like 30+ sentences of the trending keyword in their tags. I do not know how Redbubble isn't flagging them for spam. There seems to be a correlation with that spam and getting sales. I wouldn't risk my account for that though.

Yeah.... I this is how I understand them... long term tags are good too... but I believe RedBubble says that the words don't have to repeat in a sentence... so Happy and Dog is the same as Happy Dog or Dog Happy

Please help me understand this, two tag lines below, which is the one to use??? tagline 1: addicted to new york, i survived my trip to NYC, addicted to nyc, addicted to new york city, new york lover, new york landmark city, statue of liberty with mask, statue of liberty original design, new york i love you, i love new york pizza, nyc, new york city, city, manhattan, new york. tagline 2: addicted, new york, nyc, survived, lover, landmark, city, statue, liberty, love, pizza, manhattan. tagline 1 uses redbubble’s own categories, yet, will repeat some words, won’t this disrupt the algorithm? tagline 2 shows the same as 1 without the repeated words, thus giving the algorithm what it wants???

You are talking tags not tagline right? So for tags I know that RedBubble says not to repeat the words if it's used already.... I don't think that works as well... at least I'm very skeptical... I personally like tags 1.... as long as you only use 15 -20 tags.

@@DetourShirts tagline 1 uses new york 8 times. so with you saying line 1 is favored by you, then by you, that line will NOT disrupt the algorithm. thank you for clearing this up. by this, i think i am to use the categories, even if i state something over and over, so long as i am able to make it different in each. example: new york, new york lover, new york artist, new york statue, new york bridge, new york pizza, new york new york, new york city, new york bike club, new york turnstile, new york man. twelve times i stated new york, YET, separated with additions of other things. this is okay with the algorithm; so long as i do not do it more than fifteen times?

I think it would be fine but you also need to be aware that you should choose the 15 best tags to describe your designs... Unless you have a design with the statue of liberty, the new york bridge, a pizza, a bike club, a turnstile and a man these tags may not be the best tags for your design.

Good point! My guess is if they said to use 50 some people would start using less relevant hashtags and would start tag spamming. I think if you have more than 15 relevant tags use them.

I think the titles should be the long tail keywords that pull up on the autocomplete in search. I personally add a couple more keywords after that.

@@DetourShirts I am in the research stage of opening a store on RB, and when I watched this, I went to the site, which looked as it did in this video, I created and account, and when I logged in, it took me to a dashboard page where there is a choice of + New Merch Titans Automation subscription, +New KDP subcription, and a +New Canvas Titan subscription. There are no free trials, or free tools for use. At least this is the case for me when I signed up. I emailed them saying I want my account deleted due to their misleading manner, which is a nice way of saying they flat out lie to you to get you to sign up.

I thought that the limit is 50 but they recommend 10-15 tags at least that's what I read on their blog. The blog was from years ago so maybe it changed.

Hi Juna, great video again. This info isn't new for me but these are the facts. Are you already using this shortlist of trending keywords on RB with the amount of designs per keyword? I use it a lot. bubbletrends.herokuapp.com/trends Other question: today I received for the first time a mail from RB about one of my designs that will be reviewed to make sure it complies with there IP Policy and/or Community Guidelines, or is being considered for Redbubble’s Partner Program. Could you make a video about how to check if a keyword is trademarked or against there guidelines?

Thanks for the link... I have shown how to check USPTo for trademarks before. That's really the only thing I use to check trademarks right now.

I just looked. Your artwork is amazing. How long have you been on RedBubble? My guess is that you have a views problem. You need to design things that people are looking for and want to buy. Look for trends.

the only "15 tags" is BS, I would say don't use under 15 tags but only 15 or less is garbage advice.
