No one has ever explained “what skateboarding means” in a more perfect way! Long live Peter fucking Hewitt!!

That was the most legit final moment of any of the Skate Tales so far. Hewitt is an absolute legend, hats off to Madars for all he does.

I've tried so many times to explain to people that don't skate, what skateboarding means to me, and what it's given me. All I can come up with is the same response that he has! It always ends emotional and I usually walk away all teared up. I'm only 51, started at age 9, and old injuries try to keep me down but I gotta ride on to keep my head right! Well done, that little clip really captures what it means to us.

Peter came to Woodward, PA with the Dickies Team and one evening we all went out to a nice restaurant/bar to eat. We chatted forever about life and skateboarding and all that. It was super inspiring. Anyway, it got real late, and at some point I realized my broke ass ordered way too much food and booze for any mortal human to afford. I tried to play it off cool and asked Pete, "how should I take care of my portion of the check?." Without blinking he goes, "As of tonight you are officially sponsored by Dickies. But tomorrow you will be kicked off for spending too much at the bar. Order whatever you want, but don't let Joeface know you ordered whatever you want." I don't remember much after that, but I will always remember that being the greatest day of my life. Love you Peter.

Best skate show ever! ❤ Can't think of anything that comes even close, to the level of authenticity Skate Tales brings, to showcasing what skateboarding really is, in all it's different forms and vibe frequencies. Props seeing the Nude bowl back, epic trip and bonding by Madres and team as usual. That ending was very very touching and couldn’t get more cinematic, I only started just after 2000 but man I’m sure that was a special moment more than what I know to humans as old as Hewitt or older, and with such little time seemingly built up. Also forget me not was an epic part madres, RED BULL! Fully for the culture!
