RedCat Gen8 build series update (Part 5)

Last you had seen the Gen8 it had a Holmes puller Pro 2200KV stubby motor with a Castle mamba microX esc. it has a new owner now but is getting another electronic upgrade. we also talk about its durability and upgraded parts.

@@axletwisterrc4526 I must say your info on the driveshaft phasing was something I never considered to check and very useful. After hearing of guys stripping the pin slot in the plastic gears in the t-case I knew there had to be more to it then just the end play in the outputshafts. Your info has helped me prevent this! Being in Canada I don't have the access to some of the parts and suppliers you do. Injora has just come out with a similar set for the gen 8 that I can eBay, but reluctant to do since they do not show any pics of it mounted. Any luck with products from this company?

@@nateg4513 I would personally stay away from Injorca. They reproduce things using extremely low grade materials. Sometimes it can work out but for the most part ends up not being a good investment.

@@axletwisterrc4526 I figured as much. Don't wanna order any chinesuim! Lol. I'd really like to get my hands on the driveshaft u featured. I'm trying to find a way to get them in Canada. I'm trying to only order n use North American manufactured parts. I really appreciate your help and time u take to reply. Another product I was looking into is the Holmes hobbies crawlmaster 550 brushed motors as I plan on staying on a brushed system. Probably a 10 or 12 turn.. Any experience with these? Thx again bro. Your insight is most helpful.

@@axletwisterrc4526 hey bro, just got my gen 8 in the mail, and one of the first things I did was flip it over and check the driveshaft phasing....and surprisingly they were correct! All 3 of them. So either I got lucky with the mold or redcat addressed this in manufacturing. Jus thought I'd pass that along to you. Can't wait to see more gen 8 on your channel. Stay safe n keep the greasy side down ✌

I had to buy the Axe diff so that it wouldn't break as much but that crappy panhard bar mount kills me.
