Good info, have been looking at this truck debating to get one or not and you’re definitely the first person to mention the phasing of the driveshafts that I have seen. And that’s very good information to have. As always nice video 🤘🏻

Man compared to Arrma that’s a lot of work, wow! After working on my Typhon I guess I’ve become a bit spoiled 😂😂😂. Very informative, thanks so much for all the info and advice that you provide.

I agree, it’s nice to see how other manufacturers design and build their rc’s. In comparison, Arrma’s design and build makes maintenance simple

Ya they re blueprint is basher based to have easy access to diffs this is similar to 3 4s line they should’ve hollowed out shaft so don’t have split the u joints
@DaveKoko6 ай бұрын
@@JoseDaSilva-jy3sc Couldn’t agree more. I mean who would have thought that rc cars would advance to the point where removing just 4 screws is all you have to do to remove the differential. Gotta love easy maintenance

Great tips, that tight diff is probably why some are overheating the esc, and to people complaining that you have to do something to make it better, well don't do it then, nobody's forcing you too but you can always make something better if you're willing to do something, it kinda part of the hobby, I say thank you for the tips and I will do it cause it's free and just involves me doing something and I like making my RC cars better and don't mind the work, actually I like it.

It’s crazy to see how short those control arms are with all that offset, would have been nice to see them make the arms longer instead of the crazy amount of offset.

You can just mark the driveshafts before you take them apart. My diff is didn't seem that tight but was surprised to see no grease on the gear, was yours also like that and did you add grease?

Great video ! Anyone have a problem with the esc going over temp and stopping? Chacked fans running fine. Wondering since i saw your video maybe shims to tight?? Only run it one time . Thanks
@Patricio7116 ай бұрын
See a lot of manufacturers moving to those self-enclosed diff units these days. Especially on the smaller scale cars. Doesn’t seem to make things easier. Probably easier to manufacture using larger tolerances.
@RazorRC6 ай бұрын
The advantage is it's super easy to set your mesh. Traditional shimming is a lot harder to get the mesh right.

Motor mesh aside, you don’t think the shim could be a self clearance thing? I get the added strain but do you see having to add the shim back in at a later date?

I doubt it. Without the shim it's still a hair tighter than I would normally run it.

It sucks that you have to take apart an RTR to inspect things. You basically want to buy a kit so you literally know if every single nut and bolt is to your liking and you don't waste money on assembly costs. If value is a concern, they could still include all the electronics for you to install. The initial investment of time spent doing it yourself will pay for itself in the future with reduced maintenance costs of time and money.
@eg2driver6 ай бұрын
This should be done on all RTR, traxxxas and arrma included. I feel it's part of the hobby!
@RazorRC6 ай бұрын
@@eg2driveryeah I think it’s fine. They could make them all perfect but would have to charge another $100 to have it perfect, honestly I’m more picky than most and 95% don’t even notice the stuff I notice.

After you get the .50 grub screw out,, how the mother shit do I get the pin out?? Is it the actual pin or does the shaft come out that held the grub screw?? Neither will budge.
@RazorRC6 ай бұрын
@@GamezOfWar it's the pin, not the threaded portion the set screw came out of. I had to use a small punch and a hammer to get it out.

At least now the price makes sense. Shame, this kind of stuff is death to an RTR. It's like when reviewers mention checking diff or shock oils. Yeah, I ain't doing that, that's why I bought an RTR. I worked at my job to pay for a car I don't have to work on. If it's busted, I'm getting a refund.

You don’t have to do anything. I’m just more picky than most people. How many other YTers actually did anything to their Valkyrie?
