Great video. Love what I'm seeing with this truck. I want a wheelie bar, and metal diffs before I get on board though. Id also want a harder compound pro line set instead of stock wheels. They just balloon too much. Hell of an upgrade with the 20t pinion!! 52 is no joke for a 1/5!

Great Video! Hopefully you can help me out. I wanna get the 21T pinion gear for the Redcat but im wondering what size is the shaft. I see different gears that are 48P on a 21T pinion and i also see 32P on a 21T pinion. I just wasnt sure which one to get.

Thanks... yes I was able to. I don't know how much bigger than a 20 you can go though it seemed really close.

@@thischildishlifestyle does a 20 feel like enough to have good air control and be able to backflip easy?I like this truck 50 miles a hour is plenty for me as long as I can get 1 backflip and have good air control I will be satisfied too much power just destroys drivetrains do you think 20 is enough?

Absolutely is enough for back flips and good air control. I think just changing the oil would have been enough for that. Wish I would've test ran it with just the oil change to know for sure. But it runs awesome now.

I don’t understand how you’re getting 50+ out of it. Fastest I’ve got is with a 24T pinion and that’s 43mph. Dropped down to a 21T pinion and got 38mph. And I’ve got punch on 5. Makes no sense to me. I guess I got a bad esc or something

Yeah 38mph is crazy, you should at least get in the 40s all stock. I didn't mess with my esc at all. Did you check your speed before the pinion change to see what you got stock? Also was you able to use the gear cover with a 25t pinion?

@@thischildishlifestyle yes I don’t understand it at all. I’m going to put a 18T on it just to see what it does. But yea you can fit the cover on, you just can’t screw if down, so I use black gorilla tape to cover the gap and keep sand and trash out.
