The Red Dragon is as usual superb in his presentation and travel tips. The tours you showed here are very familiar to me and I can say that they are spot on!! And I like the fact that he does not over embellish ....What a difference a season makes though when visiting China. In Autumn there's a big chance many tourist sites are "deserted" or at least not that crowded . I was lucky to tour the Forbidden City and the Summer Palace both in Summer and Autumn. Autumn wins hands down... Thank you Mr. Gates for sharing. As we go into another hard lockdown, I envy you!!!

I really appreciate that! I could see myself going back to Beijing again someday. There's so much to see. We're on a country lockdown. Can't leave (unless you know you're not coming back). That's why my summer travels have been in the country.

The architecture was beautiful! The Für Elise ring tone was unexpected but cool. Your quips throughout the video and shared experiences were awesome and entertaining. Thank you!

Thanks, Tuwana. Although I think this format is a bit longer than many might prefer, I like doing them. More personal and pantient.

Tom, I missed catching this video when it came out. Your tour and tips can be a helpful introduction for any traveler to Beijing attractions. I think the scale of the sites is something many tourists might find daunting. Reminding tourists of the number of steps is another useful point. Thanks for sharing your travels with us. Please do stay safe as possible as this latest variant of Covid makes its rounds. All the best!

That was an awesome way to descend the great wall..."bob sledding" lol. The crowds can be distracting for me taking in the beauty of some of these places. I do prefer when i't s less busy as well. Thanks for sharing these places with us.

I love your travel guide stuff. This is the stuff I need to see and know. I won't be traveling internationally during the pandemic and I am so white and don't know any different languages very well, but this makes me wish I could be there in person. It looks hard at times and you are braver than I am when looking down from big heights. I would have such a bad fear-of-heights moment if I was high up and looking down.

Awesome temples, again ❤️ I love slower walk throughs of sites and old back streets, as well. Being able to see the details is nice. I agree, you definitely get a feel for the way things must have looked and felt when less “sprucing up” has been done. The stairs, though 🥴 I bet your legs are tired, geez. Hey, be careful out there. The variant here is getting everyone. It’s really contagious. The vax’d aren’t getting as sick, but the unvax’d aren’t doing well. It’s hitting younger people, middle aged, and children especially hard this round. I know they are doing a good job trying to keep people safe there, but please keep an eye out for this one moving into where you are. Be cautious if it does. We are in the thick of it again, here.

I just wanted to ask if you dont mind how long it took for you to get your PU letter? I sent all my documents in September, Im hoping to be in Shenzhen before 2022

Great video. I'm curious...Does the social credit system impact you at all? Or only ethnic Chinese? Is it wide spread throughout China?
