Brings back memories. I lived in Chengdu in 2019. Great place to live... loved it! Thanks for sharing.

I wouldn't mind living there myself

I loved seeing the architecture, it was beautiful! Watermelon juice is tasty, I like mine mixed with cantaloupe and pineapple juice too. Glad you stayed hydrated and thanks for sharing the views.

Red pandas. Oh my lord they are cute. They are my favorite animal, aside from the Pallas’s cat. From the footage I’ve seen, they seem very silly and docile, so hopefully not inclined to chomp your ear. The computer guru where I worked in the before times went to China and brought me back one of those gold coins and a jade bracelet (from Beijing, I believe.) The temples are so beautiful and intricately detailed. ❤️ It amazes me to think of the time and care put in by the artists and architects. Thank you for the tours!

Seeing the bears up close like that is definitely an amazing experience. Even though it was very crowded, I still feel like it's a unique and special experience. That's so cool that you got a coin too. I think they're such a great idea.

You wear the new look quite well. But as has been suggested, don't forget the sunscreen! 😎 I liked your reminder that we as tourists respect the existing culture. Otherwise it just confirms suspicions that foreigners are boorish, unthinking and disrespectful. Hope the visit met your expectations! All the best!

The majority of the time, people are respectful, but it only takes a few to spoil it for everyone

Hi Red Dragon, how can we find an English speaking guide in Chengdu? We are planning to spent 10 days in December this year.

Did you ever teach in Chengdu? Would it be worth it for the money? Are you still teaching?

Our newly shorn friend, please tell me you slathered sunscreen all over. So red, Tommy. You're taking this red dragon moniker a bit literally. 😏 Good video. Thanks for the tour.

Yup, I got "tanned" more than I wanted that's for sure. It was too hot to keep hats on for long, then my head would start frying under the sun. Couldn't win

Yikes. 🤔 Some bald guys may put a dampen cooling towel on their head/neck along with the hat or sans hat. My eldest brother does this when fishing or grilling out. Give a try next time, it may help. Happy trekking 🙂

Are people in China warm or cold towards non-Chinese speakers?
@Reddragondiaries3 жыл бұрын
Usually warm. If they can speak a tiny but of English they usually end up laughing at themselves and then we pull out our translator apps.
