What a voice, what a career! I'm 67 years old and I think that this current generation who probably does not know who she is/was should start listening. You and Me Against the World was a song my mom and I identified with; my mom has been gone 23 years - she would have felt terrible about this loss. I AM WOMAN - HEAR ME ROAR. Helen Reddy - you made a difference. RIP

Helen Reddy and Mac Davis were both parts of the soundtrack of my youth. I remember listening to their music on Cousin Brucie's radio station 770 WABC and Wolfman Jack's 660 WNBC. All this, while growing up in Brooklyn, New York. Great memories. Great music. May they both RIP.

Wonderful voice and stage presence! Helen does it so effortlessly! This is my escapism from so much of today's awful over-produced, over-synthesised, auto tuned laden crap which sounds worse live then it does on the recordings! Music used to be more about being an art form and consisted of true raw talent which developed into something magical. It wasn't just all about selling records! Unfortunately now a lot of what you hear commercially is all about what can be manufactured and marketed the best and quickest way to feed the younger masses and be sold to them and boy does so much of it sound alike! Especially commercial pop these days! I stopped listening to it or buying it and so did my parents who liked music which spanned over a good several decades! Then it just got to the point where it no longer represented real music or art. It is nothing to do with age and that I'm a different generation and my parents too. It's just unfortunately the way it is now! My 9 year old twin daughters love Helen Reddy and a lot of older music and have admitted it is better then what they are exposed to now! Well anyway thankfully those such as Helen Reddy live on and leave us with a never ending amazing legacy! Thank you for posting and what a treat to watch! X

I was very lucky to see her live in one of her concerts in 2013. Her voice was just the same as in this video. I will always treasure seeing her in person. Such a beautiful and talented lady.

All these hits by 1976. She was a hit machine back then. The American music world has failed to give her proper credit. I remember her songs playing on radios everywhere. It's bittersweet memories of my youth. A natural talent.

First time I watched Pete's Dragon, that song stole my heart. And I knew at 7 years old, men just weren't for me respectfully... I was spellbound after the last note. Her early career was a bit before my time, but after the Disney movie - that was it.
