Redecorating my Hobby Room - A New Year...A New Beginning...

When I posted on my Community page recently, I had an overall majority expressing an interest in a short video showing how I redecorate my Hobby Room.....well, here it is.....paint drying and all, lol....and now you all know what I look like as well, after all these years of hiding behind my hands!!!.....but the hands will be back shortly 😉
The layout of my room hasn't changed a great deal I know, but I now have a larger set of shelves for paint storage etc....the worktops are deeper and are now all at one level and the wash down surfaces will make it a breeze to clean....The new lighting wall brackets are much better than the desk mounted boom arms I had previously and the fact that I can raise them out of the way or bring them closer to the desktop is going to make filming so much easier....My tools were spread around the room before, so the wheeled trolley means everything is in one place and has its place, so its easier to find something when I need it....the wall heater works and is programmable, which is a superb bonus.... its nice to have a clean room again without paint and muck on the walls which I have no idea how it got there!!!.....I wish I'd had the budget to re-do the flooring but I decided that its going to get grubby anyway so left the tatty carpet in place....And finally, after 18 months of waiting for an appointment I'm having the lump removed from my back in February, lol.....I'm pretty happy with the way the room has turned out and it already feels a much nicer space to be in, and I look forward to spending a few hours sat at my new desktops during 2024 👍
Whilst I'm typing, some of you may have noticed that the channel is Ad free at the moment but fear not, Ads will be back, so enjoy it while it lasts....I'll be making a some announcements in a few months time but need to set a some things in motion first, as I'm hoping to make changes to how the channel is run and potentially give those that wish it, more access to content..... Hi Ian Impressive looking set up! Took me nearly three years to finally get mine all organised, only to end up with a stuffed back and hip so I don’t even use my desk anymore, apart from sorting out stuff and storage. Do all my work in bed these days 😂 Where do you store all your completed pieces of work, which are obviously missing in your video mate?? You know, I was a bit surprised that you haven’t hit your 50K subscription mark as yet, but you should breeze that in soon enough. Thanks for sharing your cool video cobber ❤😊

The one common situation we all seem to share is that there is way too many things, bits, pieces, books, bottles, tins, tools, magazines, leftover sprues and kits, so there is a constant clash between life and organized structure. Nice room, though. Have fun! I still have to finish mine.

Nothing more satisfying then hanging out in a well organized hobby space. I saw that LVT4 by AFC sitting on the shelf. I have been hesitant to do mine. Love to see that one get done. Very cool vehicle that doesn't get enough love in my opinion. Wishing a LVTA4 would someday come on the market. 1/48th would be a cool scale. Not so big.

An entirely new hobby room CWM! I am extremely jealous my friend. As I watched you attack this project, I realised that, at my age, I couldn’t do all that squatting, then standing, then sqatting again without an emergency medical service standing by. Yet I couldn’t take my eyes off the process of building something from scratch, and with so much efficiency. I would like to do the same to my own hobby room, but I think I would need help from my grandsons, and getting them off their butt is almost impossible. Oh well, I will just have to battle on in the dungeon a little longer. It is also nice to see the face behind CW Modelling. New Years greetings from Australia 🇦🇺!
