I know I'm coming late to this, but "Listen to the Music", "The Weight," "Everyday People", "When the Levee Breaks," are all my favorite Playing for Change songs, but there really are no bad ones at all.

I think you would be thrilled by „The Weight“. It has Robbie Robertson and Ringo Starr. I love „Everyday People“ the most because of its uplifting Spirit. Also there is Jack Johnson in it….

When Bob Marley shows, yes emotional, John Lennon,Bob Dylan, emotional, Robert Plant, etc .people who sings from the heart and soul who never took a singing lesson. If you can, check Paul McCartney singing in duet today ,with John Lennon in 1969 roof top concert( the last they did). It's live today and you'll see the crowd and Paul shaking voice. This was a courtesy from Peter Jackson (Lord of the rings and Get back, biography )✌peace

The 1st instrument being played is a shamisen, I believe. As for more from PFC, you should look for anything featuring Grandpa Elliot, or perhaps the cover of the Weight, featuring Robbie Robertson, Ringo Starr, & many others.

Yeah, the whole point of the Playing for Change project is to get musicians from around the world to jam together on songs with their own local, native instruments. Most of the players are amateurs, making their debut. There are 5 albums so far, & every rendition of every song is stunning. Proceeds go to the Playing For Change Foundation, which is dedicated to building music & arts schools for children around the world.

Stephen is definitely the most like his father, musically speaking. Writes like him. Sings like him. I’ve heard him cover his dad where if no one told you you you’d bet your life it WAS Bob!! You’re right, they’re all talented, but Stephen has that extra something special 🤷‍♂️ Check out his song Mind Control. It sounds like a song Bob would have written!! Or Chase Dem!!

+1 for “The Weight” Playing For Change version. If one is not familiar with The Band’s original version and its 50 years as a central part of our musical culture, it would be better to react to that first. For me, after 50 years of hearing the original, I now like the PFC version more.

I love that you refuse to stick to one genre. I've always loved music of pretty much every genre. I don't even like categorizing music by genre. Music is an expression of the human soul. And each expression is unique.

I very much enjoyed this it was beautiful the harmonies were just beautiful but I think the true power of redemption songs was not Bob Marley's voice but Bob Marley's emotions because he projected his emotions effortlessly and that's what drew me in was his emotional connection to the music and it gave me an emotional connection to the music

Mitchell brunnings version of this song in the best version in the same way that Christina Grimmie's version of Wrecking Ball is to the best version of wrecking ball. It is the far superior version of the song (Sorry bob but buddy has some fucking vocal skills). You will 100% appreciate listening to "Mitchell Brunings - Redemption song", even if your sole purpose is to attempt to prove me wrong.

Late to it, and no doubt Bob Marley sang better, but it was likewise true for Bob Dylan that a good enough message can overcome a lack of vocals.
