SCP Foundation vs Cthulhu Mythos - The Final Showdown

Explanation Revision: So I decided to come back to remake the revision because I wasn't content with it because I didn't cover the Cthulhu Mythos cosmology to its fullest. Again the main reason Cthulhu Mythos won was to balance SCP winning the first time That being said, here's my research. Cthulhu is the priest of the Great Old Ones. He is stated to be beyond spacial dimensions, angled space, and Plato's ideas. Plato's ideas include abstract forms, platonic concepts, and transinfinity. Hypnos is a low elder god. He transcended limitless realms. The first realm transcended logic and concepts and was beyond a fractal of infinite dimensional spacetimes and a "limitless vacua" that contained "deeper, increasingly more abstract perceptions of infinity". Another reference to Plato's ideas. The first realm already transcended concepts and transinfinity, but it's only the first realm. Each realm is boundless from the perspective of previous realms. After transcending all of the realms, Hypnos came to the first gate. The first gate limitlessly transcended all of the realms Hypnos had already transcended himself. When Hypnos tried to cross the first gate, he was wiped from existence. There are limitless gates, each one transcending the last like the first gate transcended the realms Hypnos transcended. Then there's the final gate. Beyond the final gate is the ultimate void. Randolph Carter was a person who managed to transcend all of the gates and reach the ultimate void. Here he saw infinite other variations of himself. Inhabitants of the ultimate void include the Night-Gaunts and their creator, Nodens. Nodens is a high elder god. Despite how powerful Nodens is, he still was defeated by an avatar of Nyarlathotep. Nyarlathotep easily transcends Nodens, but is said to be low in the hierarchy of the outer gods. The outer gods are some of the more powerful Cthulhu Mythos characters. They see all of existence as something insignificant at the bottom of a "limitless hierarchy" The outer gods are only facets of their true selves, called the Archetypes. Yog-Sothoth encompasses all of the Cthulhu Mythos. Azathoth dreams the Cthulhu Mythos. Every being in the Cthulhu Mythos descended from him, as shown in the Cthulhu Mythos family tree. It is implied that Yog-Sothoth and/or Azathoth has/have a true form called the Supreme Archetype. It is implied that SCP universes have metaphysical backbones, which could make them outerversal, and with infinite multiverses and aleph sized mathematics in the infinite layers of the tree of creation, it makes for a large cosmology. However, Cthulhu Mythos has shown that it also has transinfinity, and while the tree of creation has infinite layers, that isn't impressive compared to the full scale of the Cthulhu Mythos. Of course then there's the SCP Narrative Stack and Alpha Layer, but then there's still the outer gods, archetypes, and Yog-Sothoth. Debunking statements: "Gates are dimensional" 1. A single great old one or realm is already beyond dimensions 2. The tree of creation was stated to only be one multiverse in some SCP stories so if we're gonna lowball the Cthulhu Mythos it's only fair to also lowball the SCP Foundation. "Azathoth isn't the most powerful in the Cthulhu Mythos" Everyone in the Cthulhu Mythos descended from Azathoth according to the Cthulhu Mythos family tree, so he should at least be comparable to Yog-Sothoth. "Azathoth wakes up and wins" no limits fallacy. "SCP-3812 transcends everyone and wins" no limits fallacy. "SCP Cosmology is so much bigger" Nah the biggest cosmology is my exam sheet. Serious answer: The explanation I just made should explain why Cthulhu Mythos cosmology is larger. "SCP wins because of its transinfinite mathematics" a single realm in Cthulhu Mythos is beyond transinfinity. "GOKU STOMPS" no. "KRATOS STOMPS" no. "SIREN HEAD STOMPS" no. Summary: while the SCP cosmology is impressive with the elder gods, aleph mathematics, the tree of creation, and the narrative stack, the Cthulhu Mythos cosmology is at a scale where even Cthulhu or a single realm transcends platonic concepts and transinfinity, and that's just the start of the Cthulhu Mythos cosmology with infinite realms each boundless from the perspective of previous ones, limitless gates with the first one transcending all the realms, the ultimate void which transcends the gates, the high elder gods (Cthulhu Mythos ones), the outer gods, their true forms the archetypes, and finally Yog-Sothoth and Azathoth. But obviously Georgie solos both verses lololololololol.

SCP-3812 is implied to be able to transcend the SCP narrative stack, which one of the narratives contains the tree of creation in it, which would make him high outerversal in the Cthulhu Mythos, Hypnos transcended infinite realms, the first realm has the limitless vacua beyond all thought and entity, which transcends archetypal infinity, and a fractal of infinite dimensional spacetimes, making it an outerversal structure, Hypnos transcending these infinite realms already makes him extremely powerful . Beyond all the infinite realms was the first gate, which transcends all of them. Hypnos went insane and eventually died after he crossed it. The same would happen to 3812 if he tried the same thing. Hypnos isn't even close to the most powerful character in the Cthulhu Mythos. there are infinite gates, and beyond the ultimate gate is the ultimate void, where all of existence is just at the bottom of an infinite hierarchy Some of the weakest inhabitants of the ultimate void are the Hunting Horrors and the Night-Gaunts. Nyarlathotep is one of the weakest of the outer gods, but even his weakest avatars still transcend spatial dimensions and concepts, and his stronger ones transcend Hypnos. Other inhabitants of the Ultimate Void include the Ultimate Gods. The Outer Gods and Ultimate Gods are illusory compared to the Archetypes The Archetypes are just mere facets of Yog-Sothoth Azathoth is said to dream the Cthulhu Mythos, being the father of Yog-Sothoth. Debunking claims: "3812 would just transcend the Cthulhu Mythos" 1. That's a no limits fallacy 2. Hypnos has shown that you can't just transcend the Outer Gods "Azathoth didn't dream everything the Cthulhu Mythos" Azathoth has in fact been stated to dream everything in certain stories in the Cthulhu Mythos. Yog-Sothoth is the descendant of him, so he should at least be comparable to him. "SCP Cosmology is bigger" as I explained, I think the Gates are bigger than the SCP Narrative Stack

Cthulhu Mythos godstomps every verse in fiction, including Marvel, DC, Animeverse and heck, even SCP(CN+EN, I don’t read from any other country’s proposal) Why? Basically everything there is undimensional, meaning they exist completely outside of the concept of dimensions, including space, time, and more till infinity(and beyond) Cthulhu never got wiped by a boat, his true self isn’t even in the physical realm. His avatar alone destroyed stars(debatable) when he came to earth, dead but not dead. There were beings known as the other things, which are basically scp-682, as humans couldn’t kill them and instead just made a peace treaty. BTW, olympian gods also exists in the mythos! Elder things made all life on earth. Outer gods also made some of humanity gods beyond spacetime with 0 difficulty. Cthulhu himself has only 2 feats, but one of them describes him as miles tall, which makes him taller than gojiearth. Cthulhu is also omniscient, or nigh omniscient since its only a universe(a infinite universe btw, not like a dbz or dc one.) Cthulhu does not live at the bottom of the ocean, he lives in some place Lovecraft calls the “void”. It doesn’t live in ry’leh, it uses ry’leh as a bridge between the void and the physical realm. Cthulhu can also use his powers from the void to affect the physical realm. Now lets look at some cosmology. Universes in the Lovecraft mythos are different, at the lowest of the low we have the physical universe, the one u and I know, except that one universe at minimum is trillions to aeons/eons old.(Aeons already mean incalculable. Universes are also infinite. Above the observable universe is the dreamlands. It is a spiritual reality with a higher level of existence, comparable to the alpha layer in the scp verse, or 6th dimensional beings from DC(eg. Perpetua). Dreamlands is already beyond time and is also infinite in size. OH, it also has infinite dimensions in it, exceeding almost ever other verse already, and comparable to the true alpha layer from SCPVERSE As some remember, the people known as the dreamers that the outer gods gave power to can create realms infinite in size in the dreamlands OR the physical realm. The dreamers can choose to reincarnate at anytime they choose and are virtually omnipotent, and they aren’t even 1% of the power of the outergods. Those people, in fact, as powerful as they seem can only enter the dreamlands of EARTH! The dreamer’s powers are so great they can shake ALL the stars in the physical realm, comparable to the Scarlett king, as both can shake infinity. They have incalculable speed and can travel to any point in time, basically able to do anything. Their fighting created shockwaves decades of lightyears away that instantly transmuted to earth. They can create things that are better versions of themselves This makes the dreamer’s power comparable to the likes of Franklin Richards and Dr Manhattan(or zeno)and lets not forget they are nowhere close to the true outer gods. Then, there are the beings called Zoogs that look like rats(imagination)that live in the dreamlands. Basically, they eat dreamers. Now rats(imagination) have predators. In the dreamlands there are these talking cats. These cats eat Zoogs, putting them above the power of the infinity stone and the Leviathan race(scp)(and zeno ofc) Then, there are these things in the dreamlands that can make these cats scared fr. Then there are the gods pantheon, I’m not sure if these are the people that defeated Cthulhu aeons ago but uh, they are basically the o5 council, except they oversee everything in the physical realm and the dreamlands instead of a foundation. (Multiple pantheons of gods, not just greek and Egyptian), making them around Living Tribunal, Spectre, and Hajun’s level THEN, there are the Night-Gaunts, so powerful that even the gods fear. Each are around the Worm, True Form Oblivion, Great Darkness(master of Empty Hand)’s level. Then, there are the outer gods, more on them later. The Lovecraft multiverse. Multiverse, or what Lovecraft calls the ultimate gate.(its not even close to ultimate, its part of the omnipresent thing called Yog Sothoth) Past this gate is the VOID. Where all the weird Lovecraft beings live. At the center of this void is azathoth, m ore on them later. It is from this void, that Cthulhu uses his abilities to influence the physical realm. Then, there are the deep ones that worship Cthulhu. Deep ones can create huge storms and them combined can destroy earth, like scp-169, 682(avatar not leviathan), superman(not the op ones) etc. Cthulhu can also turn into an amphibian(couldn’t find scans). Another weaker entity, yukarayukatulu, can raise the dead.(fun fact)There are also things called Amigos, which can fly faster than light and can fly through time, AKA SPEEDBLITZ!!(lots of lovecraftian deities are faster, tho) Mayan gods are also part of the mythos, sent from the outer reigns of the void. Last of the worshippers of Cthulhu, there were the K’n Yanians, capable of separating and assembling matter Finally, the OUTER GODS! They are to Cthulhu what Cthulhu is to a mere mortal man. They are above all concepts of time and space, and are above the notion of dimensions completely. One of the most powerful beings in the Marvel universe, (Toaa) is no match for even a single of these cosmic horrors as they are infinitely more powerful than him. As while the TOAA still exists within an infinite amount of higher and lower dimensions, the Lesser Outer Gods are undimensioned, beyond the concept of even dimensions themselves. Each one of them slightly the power of CN Scarlet King, CN 3812, True Narrator, Overvoid, Unwritten Leviathan and more! (I added the last two because although they aren’t on the same level as the SCP hard hitters they are uh good) Now guess how many of these guys exist within the Mythos? 4? Nope. Higher. 10? Nope. Higher. 100000000? Nope. Higher. 10^9999999? Nope. Higher. There are an infinite amount of Lesser Outer Gods. But guess what? We are still a LONG way from the top of the food chain.(Spoiler alert: They TRUELY infinitely exceeds the power of SCPcomposite and are infinite layers into boundless!) Now we have us some Outer Gods: Nyarlathotep, The Crawling Chaos This tentacled freak is your worst nightmare. He can freely traverse any and every plane of existence. He is the conceptual embodiment of evil. Literally. He can turn mortals into avatars of himself. Said avatars can make even the Ultimate Gods seem like cannon fodder in comparison. These Avatars only have a minuscule fraction of Nyarlathotep’s true might. He is also my favourite of the Outer Gods since he isn’t mindless and actually has sentience, even if he uses it pretty much to make everyone and everything’s life more miserable, even other Outer Gods. “She is a perverse fertility deity, said to appear as an enormous cloudy mass which extrudes black tentacles, slime-dripping mouths, and short, writhing goat legs. Small creatures are continually spat forth by the monstrosity, which are either consumed into the miasmatic form or escape to some monstrous life elsewhere.” -The Last Test This Outer God is literally a THOT. She is called the ‘all-mother’ since she has mated with many other Gods, meaning almost every one of them can trace their existence to her. This means she has an INFINITE amount of children. I really feel sorry to all the fathers who must pay child support. Actually now that I think about it, Shub-Niggurath is the grandmother of Cthulhu, and it is said that she mated with Hastur, a Great Old One like Cthulhu-the brother of Cthulhu, in fact. @SCP ANIMATOR Are you sure about that? Well... I'm sure that Cthulhu Mythos can obliterate the entire SCP Foundation if there was no limits. First of all, comparing i.e., the Scarlet King to Azathoth is like... I don't know comparing the earth to the size of the universe. I wouldn't even bet on SCP-682 or SCP-173 winning against Cthulhu, who is a mere extradimensional alien. Sure the SCPs, especially the Euclids and Keters, are definitely a force to be wrecken with for humans, but for lovecraftian horrors, the vast majority of SCPs are mere specks compared to Lovecraftian horrors. Maybe SCP-682 and the "strong" SCPs would stand a chance against Deep Ones, maybe the Mi-Go, and the Elder Things. A Shoggoth would have no problems with almost all SCPs because they must become one with primordial goo that the Shoggoth, and it would obtain all of the SCPs' properties (or powers in simple terms). It's a no limits fallacy that the SCP Foundation can obliterate the Cthulhu Mythos -- and the moment that Azathoth wakes up, everything inside and outside reality will cease to exist, thus the void will just be Azathoth. I'd also wouldn't even bet on Serifos, Yaldabaoth, or SCP-001 winning against Nyarlathotep or Yog-Sothoth.

If any of the SCPs actually managed to even attack Azathoth, it would end in Azathoth waking up from its dream, snuffing out everything out of existence. Well i usually still don't comment here. But i wanted to say, good animation, the length is very surprising to me, but i'm very surprised by the winner but happy. SCP's have been annoying to be always some of the top in fiction since they have such powerful beings. But seeing some pretty awesome things like Azathoth and more is really fun since they are very special, to me at least. Swann Proposal on the other hand is immensely ancient and powerful being, that is later revealed to be a collective being comprised of every writer, every admin and basically every reader of The SCP Foundation. The Foundation has tried to kill SCP-001 but to no effect, as doing so is not only impossible but would cause the collapse of reality.
