Redesigning every FNAF Game's Logo!

In this video, I decided to take it upon myself to give each Five Nights at Freddy's game a Unique Logo, as a test of my Graphic Design abilities. This is my first ever real video so I was learning editing tricks as I was making it. I hope you have as much fun watching it as I did making it!

I like that you chose to make the FNaF 4 logo dark blue, you see, dark blue is the colour of darkness, it's that faint light that you see during the night, it really works with having the nightmares' eyes popping out of the door.

This video is incredibly well put togethernes and are very well researched. However, I do have some criticism. The intro segments for each section as well as the intro to the videoe itself are all just a little too long. For the designs you made, I think learning a bit more about composition, color theory, and contrast (in color, in patern, in value, etc). The eyes aren't quite drawn to where they should be and sometimes the the saturation and value can make it very hard to read. Besides that, I love the ideas behind each one, they're so well thought out! I'm not through the whole video yet, but my favorite logo here so far is FNaF World simply due to the layout and values ALSO I HEAR THAT LBP MUSIC IN THE SL BACKGROUND, ARE YOU A FELLOW LBP FAN?

Thank you for your feedback! As this is my first professionally produced KZbin Video, I was learning how to video edit while I was making this. I do agree with what you said but I also believe that my mistakes will help give me better motivation to improve. and Yes, that was the Factory of a Better Tomorrow from LBP2 in the Sister Location segment, that game was my childhood :3

A few constructive criticism: 1. the *'* in Freddy's is clipping on top of the border, it's triggering my ocd. 2. The lonely 2 in the FNAF 2 logo looks kinda bad. Make the pallet smaller. 3. The FNAF 3 logo is really well done, but drop the "//" at the bottom and widen the 3. 4. The 4 should be in the square of the actual logo because it's easy to miss, also you need to introduce dynamic shots for the door, currently it's taking up too much space making the logo convoluted. 5. As for FFPS logo, I don't think there's anything wrong with the designing however even tho you did it intentionally the logo looks cheap and scammy. Which is annoying to say the least. 6. Add a white background behind UCN.

The logos look great. I do have a recommendation for the fnaf 2 logo. The issue is the black lettering of the sign is hard to read with the red and white stripes. Maybe a border around the text either white or yellow could suit it nicely with a drop shadow to clearly show the text if white. The little banner is a cute touch. Good video I subbed

I loved the references and thought processes that went into the logo designs! However, I do feel like realistically these logos are too cluttered and a lot to look at sometimes. I think doing a little bit less would be better in a lot of these cases!

Nice video! There's a lot to like here. The FNAF 1-3, World, 5, and 6 redesigns work really well for me. There's a lot of effort put into this video and it shows. Pardon my speech, but you minced the "Wikipedia" logo at the start of the video for no reason; not only does the same text appear in the games you talked about (VR onward), but also most merchandise. It is the definitive Modern FNaF logo.

Things I would do (primarily because I think they would be better) in my opinion FNAF 1 - The outline of the sign could maybe be grey. Certainly a darker white than it is now, and the same could be said for the text. FNAF 2 - Maybe add '2' infront of the text ON THE SIGN, widen the ribbon at the bottom, and maybe make it say "New & Improved". Not that THAT is in the name, just.. a description. FNAF 3 - Drop the camera at the bottom, add a '3' to the right of the sign in the same font and color. FNAF 4 - Way too big for being a logo. I feel like it might need a complete overhaul. FNAF SL - I personally don't think it captures the vibe of SL, especially not in color. SL Is more 'pinkish and bluish', this is just.. no. Decent logo, doesnt fit the vibe at all. I also wouldn't include the '5' PS - Perfect, EXCEPT for the '6'. UCN - Instead of '20s', shouldve been the icons of the 50 animatronics on the roster. Other than that, its perfect. (AND DROP THE 7) HW - Really nice looking logo, doesnt fit VR's vibe. The '8' thing I really like, but its too obsecure. Thats one of the ways I can let the continuation of numbers slide, if its done vaguely, but recognizable when you squint. Secu- OH RIGHT, FORGOR ABOUT FNAF WORLD - uhhhhh.. looks great, except for the text colors. AR - Again, weird shape for a LOGO. (I just realized these arent logos, these are.. titlecards) but still awesome SB - again, TOO BIG FOR A LOGO / TITLECARD! And the colors go AGAINST the vibe of the game. Just my opinion, dont take this as hatred, the logos still look great.

first thoughts upon seeing each logo and later on ranking: fnaf 1: clipping apostrophe in the edge of the logo, and probably as a general criticism of all the logos, everything looks pixellated and low quality, i don't understand if it's intentional or not, but everything's pixellated it seems. the wordmark could probably use a bit of an outline around it cutting around the red boxes, the sliver of red right next to the y throws me off, and the edges look like they were posterized or something, the shading is very basic with each shade sticking out, no idea what that is. i guess it's mostly an ok logo in concept though fnaf 2: black text on white and red stripes is frustrating to try and look at i'd probably also apply an outline somewhere or change the colors, the blue edge looks alright, but probably better with a different colored pattern behind the text. i'm now just noticing you included a copyright mark on the logo, but on the first look at it, it's hardly even visible and unreadable as pure black text, confetti is alright, wish the logo sort of matched the confetti a bit more, since the game is comprised of blues, purples, and pinks, the banner on the bottom is red with a yellow trim, which i don't like, i'm sure you tried to color the trim blue with the top logo, but that's the only spot where yellow appears in this logo and doesn't make sense. the 2's outline is rounded instead of sharp, which is sort of distracting to me, make sure your outlines are not rounded like that. and also i don't get why there's bits of yellows flying in front of the logo, i don't understand what they're supposed to be and it's best if the logo didn't have those. fnaf 3: green text on green, nuff said. green and black is a good color scheme though, the grey color on the monitor could've been used elsewhere in the logo which would make it have a more consisent color scheme, the white number with the green outline on the white gradient on the monitor doesn't look good, you probably would have benefitted more if you used the colors like in the game where the text on screen is green and the background is black. having outline widths that don't match the pixel size on the font makes it feel less pixel-y since the pixel sizes don't match. maybe the monitor could've used some green too? also still not liking the pixellated look of the whole logo which i assume is not the intention, it makes the tilted monitor look like it has jagged edges. i also maybe would have made the scan lines a bit more prominent in the text? though that might be a bit difficult to work with. also i assume there's meant to be a copyright logo somewhere but i've not seen it. fnaf 4: it's taken me WAY too long to find where the 4 is, at first glance i could not find the 4, since the mark on the ground (which i assume is the 4?) doesn't resemble a 4 at first glance, just as random scrapes and marks on the ground. i don't have as much to say on the first glance than the rest, the only big problem is the 4, it's all the way on the very bottom of the logo which makes the eyes in the door frame have visual priority, i would've figured out how to incorporate the 4 on the door probably, for better visual structure. the black edges on the door makes it look cartoony, it'd probably fit the visual style more by having faint outlines that are maybe blue or purple. also the door being slightly smaller than the door frame really bothers me. fnaf world: yellow text with white outlines do not work. it makes it REALLY hard to look at. the clouds on the left could use a bit of color instead of plain grey outlines, since the rest of the logo has all sorts of shades of blues and greens. instead of the white outlines on the text i'd have them be different colors probably, i dunno. i don't exactly know what the blue on the bottom of the logo represents necessarily, but i don't have too much of an issue with it. this logo primarily has a huge issue with the pixellation. maybe that all could be the video, but i dunno. fnaf sister location: cyan text on cyan background. again, having the text being the same color as the background it's on never works. especially if it's cyan with a white outline, on cyan. it really is just too bright for a mainly dark game. the main "five night's at freddy's 5" wordmark being all grey doesn't fit with the rest of the logo, as there's cyans, greens, and on the rare occasion whites. so having a completely mute of color wordmark like that doesn't feel right at at all. the gear is an alright addition, but it feels like it has too much of visual priority, compared to the toned down grey "five nights at freddy's 5" logo in front of it. the gear protrudes out a lot, leaving visual dead space on the top left. i appreciate the idea of the bars in the middle having an angle making the middle appear not angled, making it feel curved, but unfortunately that perspective doesn't match the border so it doesn't really work. fnaf pizzeria simulator: instantly reminds me of the goat simulator logo. it's the most basic logo, so i can't really dislike it all that much. at first glance to someone unfamiliar they would not think of this as a fnaf title, cause the fnaf wordmark at the bottom is very small and below the main logo, making the pizzeria simulator logo the visual priority. but really not much to say. the letters g and y in the bottom bar get really close to the edge and doesn't look good, but other than that it's a standard logo. fnaf ucn: first look at it is so confusing, i don't know what i'm looking at. obviously it's supposed to be the letters "UCN", i would've heavily preferred it to actually being "ultimate custom night" instead of "UCN" it's just the numbers 2 and 0 being repeated with a semblance of a blue grid in it too, but it's just really confusing. this one is really bad. don't have a text pattern on text that 100% contrasts with the opposite color. fnaf vr help wanted: a lot of red and greens, but i can definitely get the inspiration. i didn't watch too much of the video since it's very long, but i noticed you got inspiration from virtual boy and the like. i must say though the "VR" having brighter drop shadows and then another darker drop shadow is really cluttered. i'm going off by first looks at the logo shown in the video, and the five nights at freddy's logo on the top is a bit confusing, since the text is cut up in some places on top of a grid, which makes my brain hurt a bit. it'd look better if there was actually a black background on all of it though i'd bet. though having just red and green as the only 2 colors just doesn't float my boat. and then you have the help wanted sign, which is red black and white with a seemingly cartoony appearance that doesn't fit in with the rest of the logo at all. just a confusing logo that seems like a frankenstein of other logos mish mashed. fnaf ar special delivery: now it's just called "fnaf" at the top and has pixel art on the phone? i get what it's going for but it seems so bland to me. none of it feels right to me. i don't know what else to say about it. fnaf security breach: glad to see that the numbers returned after being absent from help wanted, and special delivery, skipping 8, though that's 2 games... so i guess vr was 8? the fnaf 9 logo at the top with the white and black is pretty alright, though it's got a white outline around it which hurts my eyes a bit, i'm not a big fan of yellow with white outlines. i don't really know if the white black yellow and red is a good color scheme though, but it seems passable here. i like the inclusion of the palm tree. the right triangle looks like it was made with the brush tool cause the lines aren't really that uniform. i do like the inclusion of the security breach logo in the A. the security breach logo on the bottom is a good font, and i'd say it fits. mostly i just don't jive with the yellow used in this logo.

logos ranked from most favorite to least favorite: fnaf 3: i enjoy the black and greens and the tilted sign, i'd just like to see a few more greys sprinkled in the logo, and to improve the 3 on the monitor, and i'd really like it fnaf world: the colors are good for the most part, except the "fnaf world" other than that i enjoy the greens, the rainbow on top, the font used, and even the blue stuff on the bottom, whatever it's supposed to be fnaf pizzeria simulator: it's a very basic logo but it's pretty great and uncluttered like a lot of these logos, it definitely sells the "simulator" vibe, like all those steam simulator games. it's probably the strongest in having the fewest flaws, only one that i can think of. fnaf 1: another basic logo, which i'd only give it minor tweaks, increase the spacing of the text and the border of the sign, and making the text not clash with the red as much by giving it a sort of outline, it's pretty alright. fnaf 9: it's a fine logo, just don't like the yellows all that much but i do enjoy the red text and the palm tree in the middle. could use work but mostly it's a pretty average logo. fnaf 4: took me a long time to find the 4 on the first look, door could have some better outlines. though not too bad. good font used, and i like the concept of the logos being in the doorframe, could use some restructuring though, as i said the 4 has less visual priority than the eyes in the door frame. fnaf 2: colors are a bit sporadic, the 2 looks a bit funny, and the yellow trim on the banner doesn't fit in. the text on the sign could use better visual clarity. but a few more tweaks to the colors and i think it'd look better. wish more of the confetti's colors were used on the logo itself. fnaf vr: bit hard to look at, but i understand the inspiration. concept's good, just not so great execution. the help wanted sign sticks out like a sore thumb not fitting in with the style. could work on the colors. fnaf sister location: the five night's at freddy's 5 text is so mute and unsaturated it's very easy to miss. and the sister location text being pure cyan with a white outline on cyan makes it really hard to look at. fnaf ar: it's a phone, and it's got the special delivery thing in it. i don't think it really does a good job of being a logo. it's just focusing in on the phone part of the game, instead of it being a delivery service, or being special. i think that could've used more focus. fnaf ucn: really painful to look at. i sort of get what it was going for, but it's just really hard to look at with the patterns on the text. i really wish it was called ultimate custom night and not UCN. the UCN is so big compared to the fnaf text on the top. anyways i just thought i'd provide what i thought since i sort of do stuff tangentally related to graphic design, though i don't make logos or anything like this. i'd love for you to someday redo these logos cause you've got good concepts. just need to do better on execution.

I really love these creatively designed logos for each game. I also really love that you kept numbering the entries and gave each it's own style. I also really like your custom character design throughout the video. I don't want to be negative, but I feel I have to point out that UCN wasn't supposed to be a numbered entry as it's a custom night add-on to FFPS like the past games that have an extra custom night game mode after the main game. Instead, FNaF VR is FNaF 7 and FNaF AR is FNaF 8. The mobile game is a numbered canon entry and not a spin-off, btw. I don't want to bring your logos down by pointing this out. I think your logos are fantastic. I just think it would be good to tell you so you know.
