4:13 The reason Princess Celestia has her canon mane colors being Green, Pink, Purple, and Blue is because those are the colors of the Aurora Borealis, which is actually caused by radiation from the small explosions happening on the surface of the sun hitting Earth's atmosphere- when I realized that's what it was, I thought it was quite interesting, so I figured I would share that here!

Especially Celestia's, I love the warm sunset colors you did for her, and I love the cyan touches you did to Luna too! though, theres only one thing I'd like to say, I like Luna's hair but I feel like it should have been a bit more lighter, to keep the hair from blending too much into the furcoat color, but honestly, other than that, I love your designs! So idea what if the princesses are no longer connected to the elements because Celestia banished Luna to the moon? After all, Luna became nightmare moon so her being able to use them during that time is pretty much off limits because she was a “villain” and on the moon. Plus celestia didn’t represent a lot of the elements by banishing her to the moon. So maybe part of the reason celestia had twilight connect to the elements was so she could watch over them.

My personal headcanon for why Luna’s hair changes from her first appearance is that the hair change is something that alicorns earn. After all, we see Twilight go from normal hair to flowy hair in the finale. Before being Nightmare Moon she wasn’t mature enough, as Nightmare Moon she was a “dark” Princess, so it was looking at power rather than maturity, ability to reign, etc. so she lost is post-pilot briefly. But in her walk to redemption she actually did earn the flowy hair that also, at last, puts her on an even playing field with her sister.

I love this Celestia design more than the original one tbh, but I do have to say I think Celestia's look does represent light. I agree that her design doesn't represent the sun, but her design does represent rainbows and light. The sun is actually white first off, and the sun is like a mirror so it reflects light into colors. But tbh, why did they give her the name Celestia 😭 I feel like the name Dawn, Sol, or Aurora would have fit her better than Celestia. Personally for me, I have two ideas for Celestia. 1: Her coat is the color of white(but more of an off-white, not a snowy white) and her main and tails is in a gradient of red, fire orange, and yellow at the ends. Her cutie mark would still be the sun. And I also think she would wear more gold jewelry too, Im surprised she never had any gold accessories on her. Her eyes would also be a pretty golden color too. And instead of her name being Celestia it would be Sol(Sol is a gender-neutral name and I think it fits this version of Celestia) 2: Shes based off an Aurora boralis and a rainbow. So her coat is a beautiful iridescent, gradient of a pastel rainbow(Pastel red, pastel orange, pastel yellow, pastel green, pastel blue, pastel purple, and pastel pink). I would like to think her mane and tail is white but in the sunlight you can see just the smallest amount of shifting colors in her mane and tail(sky blues, pastel green, light violet, and pastel pink). Her cutie mark is also a pastel rainbow surrounded by two clouds(one on the top and one on the bottom). Her eyes are also a bright pinkish-purple. And her adornments and accessories are all made out of opals or clear quartz. Her name will also be Aurora instead of Celestia. I also think both versions of Celestia would have that Clydesdale fluffy fur on her hooves and wings, I just think her coat would be super fluffy. You're Celestia I would honestly name her Dawn, she looks like the Dawn :) I also have some ideas for Luna too. 1: This Luna still has her night sky coat, but I would make it into a pretty gradient where almost all of her coat is a dark blue(like the night sky) and the furs at the end of her hooves and at the end of her wings are a light gray-blue. Her mane and tail is also the color of a moon white and it has silver twinkles(or shimmers) in it. She also has strands of black mixed in her mane and tail too. She is also more adorned with moonstone accessories. She still wears a black crown, but I think it would be super cute for her to have moonstone accessories on her hooves and a lot of moonstone moon jewelry on her too. Her eye colors would still be her regular blue color though. Her cutie mark is also silver stars with clear almost looking clouds around the stars. 2: This Luna looks more like the moon. Her coat is also a moon white and at the end of her fur above the hooves it has a tint of silver. Her mane and tail is a iridescent, ice blue(thats very light in color) and it has a twist of silver with white sparkles. Her eyes are also a much lighter silver-blue. Her cutie mark is still the moon. Shes adorned with a lot of silver jewelry.

9:21 my in cannon explanation for this is that she got the mark from becoming Nightmare Moon. It’s not her cutie mark, therefore it didn’t disappear when she gave up her power. But it’s more than just a mark, in a way, apart of who she is and what she’s been through. This why it went with her cutie mark when starlight switched it. She didn’t just switch their cutie marks, but their powers and essentially what makes them them. Of course the real reason was because you couldn’t plop Luna’s white moon onto Celestia’s white butt, but I like this theory better.

If you use puppet style for 2d animation these designs would be animation friendly since you just have to switch out the facial expressions, hooves, and move things around. I do puppet animation myself and it's pretty easy once you get the hang of it, which is also easy to do. It is also easy to animate these in blender as 3d objects and use 2d for the faces.

I favorite celestia and luna and cadence the most celestia in your style are GORGEOUS, and the character tint does gave u the feeling of the sun’s warmth, specifically her characteristic as a queen and a supportive teacher of twilight’s is one of my reason I fav her :3 Luna, well I known her existence through out songs, but never episodes 😋 luna’s characteristic is like the mother of the night, where she puts you to bed slowly, and joins you with your dreams, and also warning you about ur future in the dreams is a way more powerful(personally) than celestia honestly ☹️ And luna’s redesign is so calming and pretty 😭🙁 Oh CADENCE!! All this time- i thought that Lunas hair had just changed because she had reclaimed her status of Ruler of the night so her hair changed to match that of a ruler, Like how Celestias hair used to be pink but when she became ruler of the day her mane just changed to showcase her power over other ponies. Or more likely they earn their upgraded appearance by making a noble sacrifice for the greater good of Equestria. Although now that im older, it doesnt make much sense. But it was my own headcanon as to explain why her mane changed, rather then accepting that Hasbro most likely changed it as so it would have more of an appeal when it came to toys and merchandise. Like how they made Princess Cadence solely for the purpose for appealing to children because of her pretty pink and purple design. I just miss the days where nothing needed explaining, or purpose for a show doing or changing something. The days where things could just be enjoyed and not questioned and criticised. Although if they weren’t, we wouldnt have these beautiful reimagined designs in this video. So atleast theres that❤

A lot of times I see Celestia in the show being a little puss puss basically when she's apparently a god incarnate and same with Luna even with Luna being stronger magic-wise than Celestia according to MLP lore. Also TWILIGHT IS WAY TOO UNPREPARED MENTALLY FOR BEING A RULER. THAT'S WHY EVERYONE HATES HER AS A RULER FOR SOME REASON. So personally I would add that she is a princess, yes, but Celestia is still the ruler of the planet and Twilight is only a ruler of Celestia basically with Celestia and Luna as heavy supporters or advisors. And I'm using Transformers political styles in this because yes I'm still salty about that collab. The only good frames were Thundercracker defending his favorite detective show and Arcee throwing hands in the middle of a town not giving a shit as usual.
