I remember in Slovakia (central Europe) they remade the recipe (they have increased percentage of orange juice and made a huge commercial campaign about that) and started to use a new logo and new design of bottles. Fanta here tastes like trash anyway.

It's kinda normal I guess. In the US A&W is way different then in Canada. Here it's still its own company, in the US it's kurrig Dr pepper. In Canada we have a more conscientious approach to the meat production and overall quality. Plus here we still have the "burger family" and Beyond meat burgers. If I was in the US I would go there either.

When I do this sort of thing, I always do a brand block mockup. Basically you mock it up on the shelf amongst it's competitors to see how the brand block (the cans lined up next to each other forming a block of A&W for example) holds up amongst the rest in the category. You get a really good understanding of what's not working when you see it context of retail. Of course this is a fictional redesign so creative freedom is granted and so fun to see, but I'd love to see an evolution of a brand where you consider the strategy (target market, category, etc) and consider consumer psychology. I love reading case studies of when brands have done an evolution and they just get brutally rejected by the market. So, as much as I love your designs and your process and creativity, I don't know if they'd hold up against the market if it was real life. I've been binge watching this channel for 2 days. Thanks for the content :D

I really like the passion you put into your work. I love everything about your A&W root beer logo redesign. It's so nice, simple and tidy. There is one thing I would have done differently about the Fanta can, though. I'm not a professional, so take my comment with a grain of salt. You used orange on orange, so the brand itself doesn't stand out like the official one, which is blue on orange. Other than that, great job! Keep up the good work. Sorry for my English, it is not my first language.

Every time I watch this video (which is often lol) my mind is boggled by the fact that a&w restaurants are a weird concept to some people. Where I live, they’re about as popular as McDonald’s and they’re pretty much everyone’s fav fast food chain. Definitely the most quality fast food in the area!

So I basically live in Lodi (it's a smaller town and I live in the next town over (Stockton)) and the original root beer is so good. It has a lot more vanilla in it and is the only valid a&w root beer in my opinion.

I’ve gotten used seeing the 2016 rebrabrand of the fanta. I can confirm it has been in the shelves in Finland at least. I like also that the colour of the soda itself is lighter than in the US. It looks kinda cheap to my eyes to see the bright orange colour. It looks too industrial with the strong food colouring

If you are having slight issues with image tracing, try "adobe illustrator draw" for ipad! You can export straight to your open illustrator window on your computer and your shapes are vectors! Has helped me a ton and might have sped up your process a bit :)
