I think you were mistaking BrightHeart for One-Eye. One-Eye got her eye clawed out (if I remember correctly) giving her that name. BrightHeart got her face torn off by a dog. If I remember correctly, apparently the dog grabbed her by the side of her face and began to shake her around like a ragdoll until her skin and fur peeled off.

5:45 Yep! He was described as "no bigger than an apprentice (teenage cat)" Also, I feel like him being more 80's anime-esque does kinda fit. [spoliers] There will never be another villain more iconic than Scourge. He wasn't even there for more than half of the book, killed the hyped-up big bad, KILLED THE MAIN CHARACTER ONCE, and never showed up again.

Absolutely! He showed up, absolutely destroyed the whole power dynamic in the political arena and left without elaborating on it. Usually when an evil characters are as powerful as all that the main character becomes too OP in order to take them down. And all struggling from then on feel forced. But in this case it all pretty much makes sense for the whole world to go back to normal, the bad guy disappeared and all is back to complicated political struggles. It made sense that the clan leader gets extra power to come back with after death, so the defeat of the main evil character made sense and wasn’t just because of main character catering. Absolutely iconic fight. But it also made sense why they didn’t bring emo cat back again.

I never thought I'd see the day when you'd actually cover Warrior cats! I was also very much obsessed with this series as a kid. I still like the idea of the series but I don't read the books. The OLD that i felt hearing "scourge is like the bill cipher of warrior cats" omg. great designs, I love including Brightheart since she's so niche. I remember lovingg Jayfeather's arc when I was a kid, but as an adult I went and listened to a podcast summarizing + talking about warrior cats books that was really great too! I'd be interested to see how you'd do Tigerclaw (obvious) or Princess (less obvious choice)- Princess was Firestar's sister who had kittens, one of which Firestar brought to the clan. And that cat was Brighthearts mate, so Princess is Brightheart's mother-in-law!

Some Comments to your designs *firestar is perfect* *graystripe could go a grey deeper, in the books he is described as a deep grey in fact in the current warriors book I’m reading it states his son is not described as silver and is darker like his father- he also looks like silver stream! Also the stripe his name is referring to is he has one long stripe on his back which I would’ve liked if you added it.* *Scourge looks amazing! I love the emphasis on his one white paw and his little swoopy emo bang! Also you’re right he was a very small cat, in fact before he ran away he was a kittypet named “tiny” and his siblings would tease him for being so small and wimpy!* *Your BrightHeart looks good for the most part but I feel her markings could have been darker or more ginger but you where going for a certain aesthetic so I won’t judge to much! Also mentioning the “surgical procedure from the other cat” she actually was attacked by a dog with her friend who ended up being killed.* *Anyways I loved this video and would like if you did another part (also sorry if I was being judgy with graystripe he’s my baby boy lol) also if you did end up doing another PLEASE DO YELLOWFANG SHE IS MY FAVORITE AND I THINK SHE WOULD FIT YOUR NOSTALGIA VIBEE!*

im pretty sure the reason why GreyStripe doesnt seem to have stripes in official art is because its a singular stripe down his back or something or thats atleast how every one portrays his design

Gosh I remember reading warrior cats when I was younger. I was OBSESSED with them, read every book I could find in both my school library and local library. My favorite was JayFeather. He was so sassy. Though, it was sometimes hard to imagine what he looked like since we basically followed his whole life from kitten to elder. I would love to see your take on his design though! He’s really cool. (Also, would the leader stars be something the leader cats gained after getting their nine lives? Cause that would be like, a cool thing in a TV show. A star comes down from the sky in magical effects before settling into their heart and leaving a mark on their chest)

Scourge didn't have big claws, he just ALSO had dog teeth on them, like his collar! If you look at his artwork from the comic, you can just barely see his real claws underneath the dog teeth :3

As someone who spends way too much time with this series: - Firestar actually has quite a bit of discription bits and pieces scattered throughout all the books. Stuff like scars and specifying his fur as dark orange (but lighting up brightly in sunlight) and the like @2:28 Braveheart IS a name used in the books lmao! The occasion is rather sad though- Warriors-Braveheart is one of three tribute characters for a fan who tragically died along with her parents and so she, her mother and her father. Braveheart specifically is a tribute to the fan's father. - As for your Firestar design, I'm personally not too huge on the lighter face "mask" but I like the colors overall! - Graystripe was actually only once described with stripes and the rest of the times he's specifically been called a solid gray. The -stripe part of his name more than likely stems from the singular dorsal stripe along his back. His manga/graphic novel design you showed @3:04 actually has this stripe as well, it's just not really visible on this specific image - On that note Graystripe actually got described with a sort of mane in the more recent-ish books and I imagine that to be kinda looking like you did here. But even before that I think it's very on point for him to have all this fluffiness :D - I don't care it doesn't fit the 80s theme you chose I love that Scourge design. Brings me right back to the 2000s Warriors AMVs *wheeze* - Since you weren't sure, the books made Brightheart's tail completely ginger and also describe her with spots on her back that look like fallen leaves. Not many people actually do the latter but it's also so minor that it doesn't take away from her being recognizable in 9.9/10 cases. Also, *technically* her eye socket is open in the books (they compare it to a crater) and I think I like designs that incorporate this last point the most. But that said I still really like the scarring you gave her. It really looks like her face had been torn away, with the shape and the little ragged fur tufts Overall I really like this idea of incoorporating classic 80s style design philosophies into fanart for these kitties. It's fun and I'd love to see more :D
