Okay, I consider myself fairly good at reading people, and I enjoy reading people, so here is my unsolicited analysis...Not a genius or anything, but fairly good especially from the outside perspective (not so much inside). I'm not a fangirl, I'm not into trying to couple up all these different celebrities... And I see soooo many signals that Theo likes Shailene, the fist bump after getting a tiny bit jealous after hearing the different male actors names. The gradually getting closer and closer to Shailene as the interview went on and finding all these different ways to touch her without actually getting too intimate. Sneaking in a look at Shailene for 1/2 a second before looking down really quick and scratching his head to behave as if he's not interested, he does that a lot in these interviews I've been watching and I'm sure Shailene's caught on to it, that's like the telltale sign that a guy likes you but is trying to play it cool (or in his case, not to show it)!! Hah. Not even going to mention looking at her for uncomfortably long after she said something he admired. Figure it out dude!! :) I know he's getting married, you need to make up your mind Theo and either focus on the wife or ditch her and get with Shailene. I'm sure he's been advised this already. He seems very confused and hard on himself :) Or maybe I live under a shell and men are just men and Shailene is very attractive? I can tell they are clearly very close and are very comfortable with each other, plus they've probably been sitting in those two chairs spilling their guts out all day and that can make one feel whackadoodle, but there was a little too much touchy-touchy and sneaky-sneaky. My two cents, I love these two actors dearly and I love these movies. Thought I'd share my thoughts!! :)

she also has signs that she likes him. the thing about shailene. is that she's so comfortable with herself...and she's the same in the way of being, that people don't notice how subtle she is. But she too has something for Theo. she's not the type of girl that will allow it to be just a one way street...if i make sense. She's said what she likes about Theo. Its a mutual attraction on so many levels, she's just more subtle about it then Theo. Its cute because(without fangirling like you've noted) they are a fit on a lot of levels. she's just not a physical beauty. she's the whole package adding her down to earth quality and he the same adding his awkwardness.

Don't get me wrong, Theo is stunningly attractive, but he just WASN'T Four. I mean, Four is 18, this dude is 30, ripped, and his presence is WAY too overstated. Four tended to be more in the shadows, and he was more slender with dark hair and blue eyes. I realize that most people don't have a problem with the casting but maybe some people who have read the books would understand what I mean. Take the ferris wheel scene, for instance. I just can't picture a guy that huge being afraid of heights.

Yeah, I love Theo James for the role, and think I would've been completely happy if I hadn't read the books, but he was just a bit too jerk-y and not as sensitive as he was in the books. And as far as looks, the Four in the books was supposed to be really intimidating and strong, so I disagree on the size of him, but he could have been a little more like the character according to hair and eyes. When I saw the ads, I didn't like the thought of him as Four at all, but now that I've seen the actual movie, I love him as Four, even if he is slightly different. :) I do, however, think their romance was like, first he's super mean to her, and then suddenly he's all flirty and then they're in love...I thought they could have done that a lot more smoothly and they should have kept some of the best romance scenes in there like them kissing at the chasm and all of that good stuff!!

opinionbychoice I thought they didn't really develop Four/Tobias and Tris's relationship, and didn't show the real depth of it. Because four and tris have a very deep connection, and she's not dependent on him, which is one of the things I love about divergent.
