How deep is the water right at the shore, let's say 10 feet from the edge?

From the two spots I fished in this video, about 3-4 ft. The drop off is slow.

@@warpigs777 here all about the same. Some spots that are mud button holds some holes. Be safe if you’re in waders. I usually wear water shoes in the summer and waders in the cold.

What’s the length on those rods your using? How far can you cast from the bank?

10 footers. You can get it out there pretty good. Even if you can’t cast far, wade into the water and give yourself a cheat cast to the deep. The redfish here come shallow too though so you don’t need these tall rods. I’ve used 7 foot rods and caught redfish all day.

I was at a calaveras Tuesday nite and caught tilipia every time I threw the net by the boat ramp.. caught 5 reds total 2 keepers and 3 undersized on shrimp and fish bites
