Many people I know have been working as truck drivers in reputed companies for 8 to 10 years. Suddenly, these companies are laying them off, claiming there's less work due to the economy. But what's really happening is that they're hiring people who buy LMIAs within the company. These companies benefit by giving low wages to temporary status workers and making money from selling LMIAs. Meanwhile, middle-class citizens who have dedicated their lives here and are just trying to support their families are getting laid off. This is becoming more common, and it's not fair. How can it be right that people who have been here for years are losing their jobs to those who have been here for just a few years on temporary status? We're angry and frustrated. It's time to stand up and start a counter-protest against these practices. This isn't just about jobs; it's about fairness and respect for those who have built their lives here. Is this what our country stands for? We need to take action now!

@@harmitsingh2885 as an engineering if u making good money in ur field why doing stupid jobs like Uber?? That's why ur tax is deducted more. Because u going in very high income bracket. If I was in ur place I will only focus on my engineering job and skills work 40 hours week and enjoy my personal life too with friends or family

@@harmitsingh2885 feel sorry for u. But for trucking u have to leave ur engineering job. Which am highly against it. U can't get part time trucking. Keep ur engineering job, keep doing Uber. If possible maybe get rid of one property if u can sell it for no loss, no profit. Better than missing payments and getting foreclosure.

Why do people in our community accept low wages? If someone is offering you less than minimum wage, you should report them to authorities. They legally cannot do this. This is most common in restaurants.

Because they multiply with Indian rupees and it is big money for them and there is no jobs in India so they accept any wages instead of not earning. That is why it is bad to bring more people from poor countries because they destroy the country.

Koi goreyan di company har saal raise ni dendi….i work with goreyan di company in Alberta…7 yrs same rate ney….etki meeting ch kehnde assi 3% cut karna si rate par mehngai karke ohna hi rakh rhe aa no raise no cut….tey assi ghatto ghat 10% raise expect kar rhe si…and FYI I work in oil and gas company ehna maara haal kadde vi nhi hoya pichle ehne saala ch….je truck driver who make decent money ohna nu hi kharcha karan lyi sochna paije fer es country de halaat baare maare ney.

I think all truck drivers should be employees and not contractors...you get screwed being a contractor. No severance pay, no benefits, no vacation, you can be paid below minimum wages etc. Being a contractor is a way for companies to exploit you.
