IDK if u are still responding to this video because it's years old, but my 8 month old cherryhead hides 20-22 hours a day. Is that normal? The temperature in the day (now that it is winter), for 11 hours during the day is 91F under the lamp, and during the day on the cooler side 79F. And at night 68-71F depending if the cold mist humidifier is on. I keep the humidifier at 50% in the winter and have a moist substrate and a humid hide on the cooler side. Also a drier hide on the side by the light. She spends about 20-22 hours a day on the cooler side in the humid hide.

Hey! I have a red foot and a sulcata. They each have their own tanks but I’ve seen them interact and they both seem to enjoy the company. I read that they shouldnt be housed together because they could give each other diseases, have you noticed any repercussions from housing these two species together?
@ShadowsReptiles3 жыл бұрын
No as long as both tortoises are healthy they’ll be fine. And they need to be similar size as well. The Sulcata will eventually not be able to be housed with the redfoot.

My red-footed tortoise lucky isn't a black red she's more of a brown and yellowish red. We got her from a owner who couldn't take care of her and I'm curious if that's because she doesn't get enough sunlight or not..

Hello, I love your video 😊 There's two things I would like to ask, #1. Are these hatchlings captive - bred? Because that would be nice. #2. Is the redfoot tortiose good in a canadian enviornment? I am wanting to build my own custom indoor enclosure, big ofcourse 💚 I am located to the southern part of Ontario, but I really want to make sure that he will just as strong, happy, and healthy as if he were home
