A review of the Master Grade OZ00-MS Tallgeese from the anime series New Mobile Report (Mobile Suit) Gundam Wing and Endless Waltz.

This video is technically a reupload of a previous review. However, I had to take it down and swap out the music, so I decided to make some updates. Below are the notes for the original version, followed by the notes for this updated version.
This review was made entirely after the EZ8 review. I didn't want my first upload in 3 months to be a negative one, so I knocked out this review in about 3 days to upload it beforehand.
This review was pretty straightforward, no real hiccups. I did edit the entire thing in a single 6 hour sitting, so I'm hoping that doesn't come to bite me later on because I was too tired to notice something.
I think I've got that reworked intro figured out. Have a little sting at the beginning, then the intro, then the categories afterwards. Too bad I already made the EZ8 review, cause I definitely would've had it formatted like this. In hindsight, it's kind of the original order I had in my very first reviews, but with shots of the kit rather than box art. How strange.
I tried to make this even more snappy. Less down time, less trivia, and more loose with the transitions. I do think my biggest draw compared to other reviewers is that I get in depth on stuff and have a very set, analytical structure. So I hope I'm not ruining whatever 'style' I've created so far.
Here are the notes for this updated version:
Completely re-recorded audio running off an updated script. My microphone started running out of batteries during recording though, so I can't help but feel the audio quality isn't where it should be. Still, much better than the original, so it's all good~
Tighter editing to fit the new audio. I really tried to speed things up, and slow down the zoom in's. Just make it more pleasing to the eye.
Updated the music to the new track.
New Title Card. I really think it looks cool!
New Color Filter. This one uses the lowered contrast filter found in the MG Wing Gundam Zero (Custom) and Gundam Mk II ver 2.0 reviews
A few new image overlays, specifically of anime line art.
Updated all font to be consistent with newer reviews.

What paint (or technique) would you recommend for a clear blue visor look? I did opaque on another model and I really didn't like it. Actually--while we're on the subject--what yellow did you use to match the plastic?

The yellow is just the standard yellow Gundam marker. It has a surprisingly great orange tinge to it. I'm pretty sure the blue I used here was some random Tamiya deal. Given the opinion, I would've gone for a lighter cyan color, probably something more solid too. With my whole 'anime accuracy' thing, I much prefer a more solid look rather than the opaque you'd get from a clear blue.

I would have really wanted a TV-series color version of Tallgeese (TG). More black parts! Sadly, I am a straight builder and got really disappointed that painting is required in this modern MG kit.

I understand. Thankfully, almost all this yellow is a separate piece, so it shouldn't be too hard to cut those pieces out, hit them with some spray paint, then snap them in place. Best of luck!

What kinda paint did you get/use? I just ordered one. It'll be my first build ever, so its all new to me. I want the GM Sniper 2 White Dingo but its a bit pricier and its from my dreamcast game but I want to try something else first to see if I like it. But it looks like its a nice somewhat therapeutic time sink

imo, it's up to which series you like more. Personally, I'd go with this Tallgeese, since it's a solid MG. The Vidar is a 1/100 kit, but not technically an MG, so it might not be as well engineered as an MG.

Honestly confused which I want for a Tallgeese. RG is fairly modern but it might feel too small because it's a Wing suit. On the other hand, the MG is fairly old but is big enough.

Remember the Tallgeese is bigger than your average wing suit--closer to standard size. I have the real grade and I like it, but I'm looking into the Master Grade as well.

Yeah, it's pretty solid. Probably a good 2nd or 3rd kit imo. There's a little bit of painting for the wings and the visor, but it's nothing crazy. A good way to test the waters with detailing. Best of luck!

Despite the Tallgeese being my favourite MS, I skipped this kit in favor of the RG, expecting to get this later down the line. Then I got the opportunity to buy the P-Bandai Fluegel and I’m smitten. The combination of this with the WZ ver ka wings and new covers for them is stunning. The lance really completes the look too. I still like the nutso boosters of the original, but I’m very happy with the RG in that version.

im pretty sure u arent supposed to colour the eyes blue because the foil sticker behind it is shiny and it goes through the visors so it looks like there is actual light going thru it

Sure, but the visor comes in clear, rather than the blue it's supposed to be both in the anime and in the sample build on the box. Unfortunately, if you do not paint the eyes, they will remain transparent with no color, and will more then likely blend into the suit. Like I mentioned in the video, a clear blue would work best, but all I had on hand was the standard blue Gundam marker, so that's what I went with. Personally, I prefer the more solid look anyway, so I'm cool with the results.

Btw, all clear visors - definitely paint the inner surface or the part behind it vs the outer because that makes them pop so much better. And if its a colored visor, then paint silver.

Sadly, this is one of the worst EW MG in terms of stability, maybe on par with the wing gundam. The knee joint become loose even though it is hardly played with.

The tallgeese is accurate but in terms of height, it should be more taller than wing zero. In the anime he was the tallest of the mobile suits.

@@redheadphones6 I will say this for Tallgeese iii Mg, BE CAREFUL WITH The Tall whip from Epyon, and the Mega cannon Connector to the Shoulder. I broke the cannon connector and had to buy a replacement for it.... But it is the same, but still awesome. Cant wait to get the Pbandai RG Tallgeese iii for 40 dollars thanks to Bluefin Brands/ Distribution.
