Hi, Wendy Beautiful card and great tips as usual.Those Switchlits butterflies were also a part of my forgotten stash. Perfect time for me to dig them out. I did pop over to purchase 2 sets of Vicki Boutin's stencil sets. It's my birthday next month and I always ask my husband to let me buy what I don't need without comment from him. Works great for me. Welcome and thank you! Switchlits are no longer made (on clearance) however, there are other brands and embossing folders with die cuts called Cut and Emboss which would be applicable. It’s all about using what you have! ❤️

I put a label on each embossing folder with the “recipe” on it for embossing. Saves lots of time and frustration.

🤣 oh geez! The switchlits are old each bit so useful. I have quite a few of them that got shoved into a box at the back of my desk. I completely forgot I had them! Of course you can use any die cut and emboss it! 😊

Thanks for using a flashlight. It really helped the cameral pick up the shine and glitter! I didn't know there were ones that you could switch out the die cuts, like those butterflies. I have one a Sizzix one that embosses and cuts out a sunflower (I love sunflowers) but there is no switching out. It just does one cut with embossing.

That sunflower one might be an Impresslit rather than a Switchlit. New ones coming on the market by various suppliers called Cut and Emboss. Either way, two things done in one step is a win! I’m glad you were able to spot the little flecks in the paste. 😊

They are an older version of newer folders like cut and emboss. You don’t have luck with dry embossing or heat embossing?

What glue stick do you use for embossing?

You may be referring to the Versamark pen I was using to attach the embossing powder to the butterfly. I did not use a glue stick in this video.
