Matoke is a borrowed cuisine. It's a staple in Uganda. Kenyans don't usually pound their bananas. Even in kisii, where bananas are common, pounding is largely unknown.

That's not true...I guess Uganda being widely known for bananas doesn't eliminate the fact that bananas are grown and eaten in Kenya.Other meals like Biryani and pilau most definitely someone would be right to say are borrowed but nonetheless Kenya is a fusion of everything from all across Africa and the world at large
