I think part of what makes clothes edgy is them having a personal meaning to us. The fact that Emily’s brother loved cargo pants is more than enough reason to have some if a particular pair appeal and fit well with the rest of her wardrobe. Which these seem to do. I love her Carhatt moments too!

Simple yet stylish chic/edgy cargo outfits. You've said before that you have a fashion background. I'm wondering how much importance you place on knowing what one's color palette is. I've decided to wear colors I think look good on me. I've been told I shouldn't wear black, but when I wear it, I get compliments on how good I look! I'm completely mystified as an edgy dresser about what kind of socks go with what kind of outfits and how to wear them without looking dorky. Love cargo pants. I have a jean, drawstring pair I have had for 20+ years! Which I would kept the khaki ones I have thrifted 3 pairs recently including a linen pair. Dress them up or down.

Oh, you probably have no idea how much I relate to what you said while you tried to analyse why you wanted to buy these cargo pants. I do that all the time and even did this a while ago with my interior design style (which is VERY particular and eclectic in a way people who don't know that part of me would probably never expect) and tried to figure out where my preference stem from. (I was able to figure it out, but I really had to dive deep down into my childhood and needed the help of my mom too.) I think we tend to like things that we can relate to things or associate with pleasant memories from the past, but that's not all that goes to it, really. Just talking from my experience and understanding here, this is not backed by anything else. It can be very interesting though, to learn about how your personal preferences can stem from your childhood. I mean, that's when our personality starts to shape, so it feels natural to develop specific likings during that time, which later add to exactly who we are and how we like to groom and style ourselves and our surroundings. Some think about it, others never question it - both is just alright imho. Fun fact: I own a similar pair of cargo pants and never wore it until a few weeks ago. I styled it very similarly to the outfit you created with that white button up shirt (which I wore exactly the same way), mine was of a chocolate brown though. I got these pants gifted and loved the fit, but wasn't fully sure how to style them and then kinda forgot I had them. And since I liked pretty much every outfit you put together, I am now having lots of input for further outfits. Especially the way you explain your outfits creates a lot of inspiration because I can easily translate that to my own style instead of just re-creating one of your exact outfits. I love that about these videos. To me, that's TRUE inspiration. That's a gift imho, you're crazy good at this. Lots of love and light to you, as well as strength. That tribute was very lovely and incredibly well done.

I love cargo pants. The brand of cargo that fits me best is American Eagle. I have a bunch of them in different weights and colors. I like to wear them kind of low-slung, cuffed at the bottom, with a lightweight flowy-fabric top cropped right above the top of the pants. Great video! Love the final look with the chucks.
