I don't tremble and seek the Lord in His Word. I have been a horrible example of a Christian. I don't deserve the love of God, but I will certainly take it! I want to be with God now and at the end of this world. Anyone who would happen to read this comment, please pray for me. I am struggling with sometimes overwhelming anger and frustration at myself and especially at this world. I have not kept the Lord at the front of my mind. When I lose my temper and include the word "god" in my cursing, I know even at that very moment that I am being horribly disrespectful to the Lord who deserves love from me from all that He has given me. I agreed with the ending prayer from Pastor Doug. I've raised my hand. I want to be with the Lord. Father in Heaven, please take me fully with your Holy Spirit, in Jesus' Name. Amen

You aren't alone. But don't take it as ok. I'm guilty of the same Brother (I assume you are male by your user name). We should pray for one another. I have recently used His name in vain... It hurts when I do and I don't know how I can let it happen. This sermon is perfectly explaining why. I am losing my reverence of Him. What fools we can be! Let's pray for one another.

God is a forgiving Lord. When He blots our sins He never remembers them again. He says go and sin no more. That's what we need to remember.

The main point of that cammandment is not to claim you are teaching , preaching or repersenting God if you really aren't.
@paulwilfridhunt6 ай бұрын
The first step is confessing and you’ve done that and that’s good because by allowing believers to know what you’re struggling with it allows them to have mercy on you. And we should never underestimate the power of mercy. Though you’re probably not going to get a quick fix however let’s not rule that possibility out. It’s important to love God’s 10 commandments. Those who love them will have peace and won’t get offended. Psalm 119:165 KJV Great peace have they which love thy law: And nothing shall offend them.

Almost as bad as the money changing in the temple of Christ's time. Maybe we should get out the cat-o-nine tails and chase out the heathen... 😂 I'm joking, of course. But, we certainly need to say something. I'm guilty too. Not of eating or using a cell phone, nor talking during service. I am guilty of allowing my kids have their smart phones on during the Sabbath...

YES Pastor Doug, It troubles me when our pastors look casual before congregations like they do in our non-denominational counterparts and others. Also trading hymns for only "praise songs"... children running all over the sanctuary without restraint, song leaders wearing T-shirts and jeans, like we're at a campout. Absolutely No respect for God's house!! We need to seek out the Holy Spirit to do God's Will and not our own. 💔😰🫣🙌🛟🔥🤐😡🤯

I totally agree! The buzz of conversation in the sanctuary is definitely not any sign of reverence. Worse still is applause. In this current decade, reverence has been virtually absent from Adventist congregations!

Just like I don’t attempt to keep the Sabbath on my own, I ask God to keep His Sabbath in and through me. I love that He’s so willing to do in me what I cloud never do on my own because His bidding is His enabling and it’s Him producing the fruit of righteousness in my life, for my righteousness is as filthy rags.

I am WEAK and crippled by pathetic SINS, and every time I pray and repent, eventually I fall. It's always back to the this sad FILTH. In the end I always fail, I'm left sad, gross, sin filled, and alone.

Happy Sabbath. This is my 2nd time asking in the past few weeks, if it's possible to raise the volume and to either add the caption or the transcript as I have lost 85% of my hearing in my right ear, and 55% in my left ear due to an injury to my carotid artery. This makes me sad because I'm missing out and I'm sure I'm not the only one. Pastor Doug is already so soft spoken so it's only fair that the volume should be raised up. Thank you for considering this matter.

I love your eye-opening teachings. I catch a *_glimpse_* of an *_aspect_* of our Father that sure demands a level of reverence to me - filtered video of our sun, with all those opposing magnetic forces fighting against being contained providing a level of electromagnetic radiation we can't comprehend... and this is probably one of the *LEAST* displays of our Father's power. What could contain such powerfully opposing forces, *_in space without exterior pressure,_* generating incomprehensible energy? A force the world won't acknowledge - totally scientific and prophetic. Everything fits. The looming micronova, world history, prophecy and current events assures me the *coming of Christ is very close)* (my bet is on: *His return within a decade)* Of course I could be wrong, but I bet I ain't too far off :-)

Yes, as a beliver there should be a reverence and awe of GOD. And yes, even a trembling fear. This should be our heart posture towards GOD in every aspect of our lives overall because of who GOD is. It reveals that we have and/or are intentionally developing a relationship with HIM, and we love HIM. Therefor it should be this way on our jobs, in our homes, in our ministries, gifts, talents and abilities. In our personal relationships, in the community at large, as a human race created in HIS image. As well as in our personal care, and amongst the brethen; how we treat each other within the body of CHRIST, etc. We don't want an outward display in the Sancturary on Sabbath with no evidence of a life changing transformation on the inside.The outward display should be a reflection of the transforming power of GOD taking place on the inside. It should be evident. And while I agree with the message of modesty, keep in mind that GOD created colors. Look at the array of floral and bird species around the world, the vegetation, nature and the universe at large are all dressed in their finest, each intricately created by the CREATOR. Being flamboyant is one thing, but modesty overall is about moderation, humilty, meekness; a lack of vanity. And includes more than just our clothing. Not to mention that colors come in different tones. Because wearing certain colors don't make you HOLY. Now if one women is able to take down fifty men in the church, within the body of CHRIST, "Houston we have a problem." that's a serious issue that needs to be addressed. Because it is written in Matthew 5:28-29. The problem didn't start with the woman. Sin begins in the mind and heart. People think about it before committing the act of sin. So if he is looking at women in the Sanctuary that way, you can best believe he's looking at all women that way. Inside and outside of the church community. And is more than likley entertaining other sexually immoral acts unbeknown to us. One of the fruit of the SPIRIT is self-control. As women we definately need to be mindful of how we present ourselves anywhere, and we are our brothers keeper, so should be the heart posture toward the women. They should be protecting our purity, not preying on us. Providing they are meditating on what is pure Phillipians 4:8. Only GOD can change a persons heart. Being feminine (not a femininist) is a part of who we are. We naturally have qualities and an appearance associated with being a woman. Those men fell because they were lustful and lacked self-control and are meditating on other things. If we don't take heed we will fall 1 Corinthians 10:12. These issues needs to be addressed within the body of CHRIST as well. Because GOD created the woman/females/ladies with curves. Would he not have to apply the same principles if he saw a woman half dressed on the street, in the store, in the parking lot, on the beach, at the pool...It starts in the heart and mind. Jerimiah 31:30 Love you. Be Blessed... ❤❤❤

Reverence is just not what Christians have for God, the Word Of God specifically tells a Wife To Reverence her HUSBAND. Don't water down God's Word, speak the truth without compromise. That's what Jesus Christ did. Too many families are in chaos now, they need the truth of God's Word, so does our nation. God created the perfect plan for family, the church should be shouting it from the rooftop, regardless of the anti-God forces and voices in our society.

The Christian church in book of Acts came into being under the power & blessing of Holy Spirit's early rain.💞 Many signs & wondrous miracles took place during that time becos the power of God was at work. The story of Ananias & his wife Sapphira lying & deceiving with their "pretentious" sacrificial gift to the cause of God was a "wake up" call to anyone who thought they could lie, cheat & decieve their way into the Church. JUST THINK IF GOD DID THE SAME IN THE CHURCH TODAY ! IT WOULD BE A PURE CHURCH WITH NO FAULTS & ERRORS !! YOU WOULD EITHER BE 100% TRUE TO GOD, HIS TRUTH & HIS CAUSE... OR YOU'D DROP DEAD IF YOU TRIED ANYTHING DISHONEST OR DECEPTIVE!!! AMEN 💞

NOBODY SHOULD FEAR GOD! Everybody should embrace God. The concept that we should fear the punishment from God in order to make society better is wrong. It makes God appear to be angry at people for breaking some rules. Why would God (an almighty eternal being that created absolutely EVERYTHING) need tiny humans to be good? Why would God need to punish such minuscule beings? God's creations are good. To us, lots of those human creations are idiots and some are evil. They affect humans. They don't affect God. Lots of the old testament was made up by priests wanting to control the population, along with other more ancient stories from eastern texts. The new testament contains actual testimony of those who lived with Jesus and quotations of Jesus. That is the set of books to read.
@edithdotson56176 ай бұрын
Does Jesus share your view of the OT Scriptures? No. He quoted from them, encouraged His followers to obey them and taught that they would exist as long as the heavens and earth go on. See Matthew 5:17-20 Vain philosophy is destroying reverence for God and His Word.
