I think the issue was, we were surrounded by so much good music back in those days from Whitney Houston to Mariah Carey to Babyface to Brian McKnight, Wu Tang, Capone n Noriega, Keith Murray, the '90s were lit AF. A '96 baby who fell in love with Hip-hop bumping to Em, 50, Jay, Ye..etc. First saw Redman in the movie How High, which made me think he was a comedian before I learned he was a rapper. Never dug into his music til now but I finally see why he's considered one of my favorite rapper's favorite rapper.
