I've been using the Redmi Note 13 (6GB/128) for about 6 months as well. Bought it in February. It's been pretty good for the most part. Great battery life and I love the 33W fast charging.

No, the performance has remained as good as when I first got it, but I'm not the heaviest user - I don't have too much apps installed on my phone. I watch a ton of KZbin videos, use Spotify & KZbin Music for music and podcasts, use WPS Office for spreadsheets for my business, take a lot of notes with Keep Notes, browse a lot using Brave browser, WhatsApp, IG and Twitter - medium use. You kinda get the point, right? I'm basically on it all day like the average smartphone user and it has performed great since the first day - I'm not a gamer.

To the pupils that had battery drain issue, the SD card was causing the issue since android is constantly checking for new media on your sd card (for some reason) so it is best to unmount it if you don't use it or barely use it.

Get the Redmi 13. I have owned all those Samsung devices from A12 to A24 but they are not bright enough in direct sunlight. Redmi Note 13 gives similar performance but with a better display. That's what makes it better!

Does xiaomi still strong arm you into using their system launcher if you want access to gesture navigation? cause my old note 8 died, and i need a replacement but I really don't want to get it if its still forcing you to use the system launcher which is a big battery drain and background data collecting killing your battery.

Yhhh this issue you just talked about is still very present till today(you are very much limited on the budget segment), for me I use custom ROMs and it blows away the stock rom bottlenecks in every way, even down to performance..(currently using Note 11 though, but I can tell for free that the SD 665 in your note 8, and the sd 685, 680, 662 are basically almost on par in performance, the difference only comes in because of the slightly higher clock speed, the newer ufs 2.2 and other minimal optimizations)

My experience with redmi was trash September 2021 : Bought Redmi Note 10 (albeit 4gb ram only) Next major software update and absolute worst software experience, glitch UI, can't manage even 2 apps like chrome and WhatsApp in ram, each call gives phone a seizure( literally doesn't respond any touchs) AND all that on a 1 year old phone 😑 April 2023 : Phone motherboard failure non recoverable damage Display and camera was Good though Software was NIGHTMARE

i have this phone 6/128 model and yes it have large folders and the the ram is enough for me the phone is smooth after disabling ram extension. on my daily usage with some apps running in the background the phone is using a bit less than 4gb ram so there's always those 2gb ram free, i don't play games though but for daily usage it's enough

REDMI 13C 4GB/128GB IS THIS A BAD PHONE? I HAD SEVERAL ISSUES(WORST WAS internet speed that took me 3days to fix,so today it is ok but still slower vs my other 2 older xiaomi phones) i also have xiaomi redmi note 7 Best so far of the 3 models i own redmi 10 (battery has swollen so thats why i got a 13c version) So anyone that has used xiaomi for many years what do u think about this phone? also my question is if i should have gotten a MOTOROLA phone instead?? dont remember exactly what it was,But it had 8gb/256gb ram/memory is 200% bigger for same price(even a bit less) so why the Motorola phones in stores where i live is cheaper if i look at this is a thing i dont understand either(has it bad cameras or something compared to xiaomis cheaper phones?) Best brand for the usage i need it.. Tethering internet w loading cable from phone to usb pc (only way to get internet) calls sms downloads some surfing and paying bills+swish This is only stuff i use it for so is there a better choice vs xiaomi nowadays?? i have used xiaomis cheaper phones ever since the HUAWEI phones got banned where i live(dont 100% sure why though) But loved the ones i had back then years now. Also Motrola vs xiaomi and other manufactured phones in budget class??? The A35 has better screen protection, better water rating, better camera's, better speakers, perhaps A35's glass back the only worry, but most ppl use pouches and I feel glass back is more durable with a pouch than a plastic back, plastic back phones I've had got tiny dust scratches from the pouch

May I ask, is it really normal for the first days or week of my phone to drain battery percentage quite fast? After I charge my phone, few minutes later it will drain 1 battery % for about a total of 2-3. I am in 60hz refresh rate, low brightness, nothing running on the background. It drains like 1% for every 6-8 minutes when in use, just KZbin btw. Again, with 60hz and low brightness haha.
