In today’s video, I’m redoing a room that many of you may recognize from a past makeover video! My brother recently moved out of my parent’s home to attend college and my parents wanted to turn his room into a guest room. I wasn’t a big fan of my brother’s bedroom (Just due to the previous requests and restrictions when designing the space) and knew I could transition it into something my parents loved! I had total creative freedom but only had a weekend to transform the room! I honestly LOVE how it turned out!! What do you think? Comment below!

Today’s video is such a fun one! I’ve never gotten the opportunity to redo a space that I wasn’t fully in love with… UNTIL NOW! By no means was the previous makeover for my brother “bad” however it wasn’t my personal favorite! Personally I would have switched the orientation of the bed so guests could have a view out of those beautiful windows and maybe had a window seat for reading and relaxing 😍 Love the styling and colors, a really beautiful room!👏

Hi Drew! First of all, I've been watching your videos for quite some time and just realized that I hadn't subscribed yet!!! WHUT?! So, now I am! :) This makeover is so great! I LOVE that soft shade of muted red on the armoire and that you added feet to it and the little ways you added other small touches of red around the room! I love that the wicker ceiling fan mimics the other wicker/rattan pieces throughout the room in a way that's unified but not overdone. I love that your curtains are so neutral yet softly frame the windows and allow the other warm colors to draw the eye! I didn't think you'd leave the "vinage" dresser untouched but love that too! It looks like a piece that's been in the family for years and is comfortably worn in! I love that your style isn't "boho" per se but is classic and inviting with a blend of different styled pieces to make it interesting! Your parents must be loving it all! I have that same bedframe from ikea. I love it. At Christmas, I tied garlands to the top of the head and footboards. The headboard is also tall enough that you can hang Christmas baubles from the garland, and you won't whack your head on them when you sit up.

A suitcase rack (or two!) is a must for a guest room, as well as a basket of travel sized toiletries and a surge suppressor electric plug strip next to the bed for device charging. It never would occur to me to put a bed against a window when there are two solid walls to put it against. Put accessories in odd numbers, especially like the vessels atop the wardrobe.

Loved this makeover💕. The only thing I would have done was to apply Old English Scratch Cover/Polish to that beautiful dresser. It would have covered the chips and made it look like new.

I really like the way the room looked for your brother's a makeover so I was not at all sure how you were going to switch this up again and make it into something new. But wow! This room is so elegant and so classy it's like a totally different room got transplanted and I can't even understand how it's so different and yet so equally beautiful. I was staring at the Wardrobe with the two pots on it because I really like the two pots but it feels unfinished. I think what you really need is to mirror the art over there. Either an actual piece of art or an actual mirror what's something large enough rectangular enough that it sits on the Wardrobe and leans against the wall instead of hanging on the wall itself

Looks great but that dresser needs a cleaning and a touch up. Get some Howard's products from the hardware store. They have a product called Restore A Finish that is easy to use. Then follow it up with Howard's feed and wax. It's an inexpensive way to refresh it if you don't want to totally refinish.
