I have Layton, Elysium, Hacivat, Reflection, and Oud for Greatness and all are stellar in their own way. Havicat is one of my 2 signature scents. Bought Oud For Greatness when it first came out and rarely wear it, but when I want to stand out above the rest at special occasions that is my go to! Wore it 2 nights ago to our yearly holiday work event my boss hosts and it is a head turner! There were so many pleasant fragrances I caught a whiff of but Oud For Greatness quickly drowned most of them out. And the longevity is ridiculous! I put on a hoodie when I got home that night and am actually wearing it right now and I can still smell it. For me it's number 1 on your list!!

I liked this ranking and was glad that Baccarat Rouge was not there. Even though I have a bottle, I have never loved it even though I tried to. My favorite from your list is Naxos, although I always have a soft spot for Chergui. Glad to see BDK’s Rouge Smoking on your list as it doesn’t get the love that it deserves.

Side Effect is my favorite from Initio. Have a decant from Naxos and really enjoying it. I do have Layton but Herod is my favorite after getting a decant. Tried many samples of Amouage's offerings but not a fan of any sorry to say. Great review as always.

I love Layton but I am with You. Carlisle takes the throne, it is THE KING of PDM. It is my favorite but both are spectacular. Considering to get the Layton Exclusif as well and hopefully they come up with a Carlisle Exclusif.

Some great choices. I own NAXOS but have grown somewhat bored with it. i don't own HACIVAT, but will at some point - it's a Hall of Fame chypre that performs like a bandit. My favourite Amouage, JUBILATION XXV, remains my all-time favourite fragrance. My top five would be Xerjoff's RICHWOOD and CEYLON, along with YSL's Babycat and Tuxedo, and of course JUBILATION XXV. With those five, I would consider myself set for life and for any occasion. Like all designer offerings of my experience, the YSL Vestiares mentioned, don't perform worth a damn, but occasions are many when something a little subdued is highly appropriate.

I have everything u showed but Santal 33. Creed I have to go with Milisime. Xerjoff I love Naxos but starlight is my favorite out of the house. I have to go with Ambre Sultan with serge. BDK I like rouge smoking but I have to go with Tabac Rose. I’m good with Elysium. looooooove that one in the heat and cool days. I’m cool with oud for greatness. Hacivat is my “if I could only have 1” fragrance. So I’m definitely cool with that. Super Swiss Army knife. Amouage Reflection grew on me. I love it now. Definitely stand out from LaMale but I thought that they smelled very close initially too. Layton is ok. I recently acquired Layton exclusif. Scratches that itch for me a little better than the original

I have amouage reflection man 45 extrait de parfum and JPG le male. Still like JPG but Amouage is king. I like Layton PDM but have Pegasus instead. And Haltane by PDM which aoparently shared the same DNA as Oud for greatness as they sister companies. Pegasus is huge compliment getter its on par with Amouage. For me

Only have a few niche fragrances so far, and have sampled several of them. -Creed, favorite is Millesime imperial. -Elysium is fantastic -Hacivat sample smelled like cigarettes & mold, was not a fan. -For PDM, I've yet to find a scent I like from them, and I've smelled Layton, Layton Exclusif, Percival, Herod, Carlisle, Pegasus, & Sedley...guess it just wasn't meant for me, ha.

That's the biggest knock on it and I can attest to it😅. I love the fragrance but am hesitant to use it because I have to go heavy on the amount of sprays.

Not worth the money. Not even worth half of the money. One of the worst performing fragrances I've ever tried. Not sure on the Pure Parfum version, but the Parfum Cologne is just shockingly bad, performance wise... The scent isn't as special as some make out either.

@@trumpnation4198 I mean, I guess my opinion and experience is just the opinion and experience of one guy, but I don't tend to get poor performance as a general thing with fragrances, so it leads me to believe it's just not a good performer. I have seen other people say the same thing. You may get a different experience to me, worth getting a sample and trying it maybe, but I would personally recommend against blind buying it as it's a big risk at the price if you end up getting poor performance.

Bought a 2023 Layton. Smells like cheap menthol shower gel. NOT recommended. I wouldn't pay $20 for it, let alone the high price PDM demands. I have triple checked that it Is a real PDM Layton, and it is 100% authenticated. But i also went to a store and sprayed the tester and my bottle to compare. Mine is All menthol, the store one was a better blend (but still not as good as the old 78% alcohol version). I'm hoping it's a bad batch, but i've seen a lot of people having the same issue. (Batch nr: 3323044. Production date: 2023-08-07)

FYI he based it on the bestselling niche fragrances on Scent Split that their customers are buying, and is in his collection that he loves. Scentsplit customers are not buying MFK, Frederic Malle, or Kilian as much hence why they are either not bestsellers or have only one fragrance on their best selling list. Meanwhile brands like Initio and PDM have a couple or more fragrances on their best selling list.
