DON'T GET SCAMMED! | REAL VS. FAKE EX NIHILO FRAGRANCE! (WHAT TO LOOK FOR)

I very much appreciate this video and others that point out the differences between authentic and counterfeit perfumes. It’s especially helpful to know what to look for when buying fragrances second hand. I did want to point out out one thing about the gold plate labels on Ex Nihilo bottles. I have a bottle of Explicite that I bought from Luckyscent in 2021, that I know is authentic and that smells great. But unlike Steve’s authentic bottle where you can see 4-points of contact of the label from the back of the bottle, the label on my bottle is completely flush with the glass bottle. As Steve said, companies do make changes and so in this case I would not conclude that a bottle isn’t authentic based on the absence of those four points of contact on the back of a label alone.

Yes, this is also true for my bottle of French Affair that I bought directly from the brand's website.

Hummm...I bought an ex nihilo fleur narcotique in ebay and through a Russian seller. The packaging, the bottle, the cap, the foam box are identical to your authentic ex nihilo in this video. Even the smell is nice, similar like my decant tester of the same perfume. It doesn't smell like harsh alcohol and it didn't turn sour. My guy wore it and it lasted for long hours on him. So, is it a fake perfume? Or a tester? It was cheap though, around 60 Euros.

I just got the same perfume from an Ukrainian selleron eBay. The extrait de parfum cost me around $160 and everything looks pretty good. I’m scared I might have gotten scammed but so far so good. The only thing is that it came without a box, but I have gotten a lot of testers before and this is a non issue for me. Sadly I can’t do the full comparison since I don’t have the box.

This happened to me with a bottle of Versace Eros Flame. Ebay refunded me my money before I actually even received the bottle. Apparently they became aware ofthe scammer quickly.
