The Genuine Suzuki belts for the 2008 2.7 L engine were made by Bando. They should be Bando 4PK1075 and Bando 4PK945 and are available in the US on Amazon.

Question Is it hard work replacing the belt that goes on the alternator do you have to take off both bolts

Replacing belts isn't terrible in general, so no, not too hard. Thanks for watching!

Unfortunately not on that service specifically, and I no longer have the vehicle so there won't be any forthcoming content on that from me. Sorry about that, but thanks for watching!

My mother has an '07 Grand Vitara and I noticed that the upper and lower radiator hoses collapse in on themselves when the engine is off and cool. They pop right back into shape once you start it but its got me worried that they may be deteriorated on the inside. Does yours do that too?
@redonKiLaus9 жыл бұрын
+damagingspark7 It sounds like your mom's cooling system is cavitated. I don't remember the decavitation process for the GV and mine was totalled a few months ago so I can't make a video on it, but you should be able to find some guidance on the forums. If you bleed the system and it still has the issue, she probably needs new radiator hoses. I have a new OEM set for sale, along with a ton of other OEM parts and accessories, at the following link on the forums: www.suzuki-forums.com/classifieds-sale-trade/175026-tons-genuine-suzuki-parts-2006-present.html Thanks for watching!

Wow.. You really have all the necessary parts to run the car for years on end. I hope you have engine mounts too :D i dont know about US but here in Australia, I order parts from Amayama. They are global company supplying genuine Japanese cars parts at much better price than dealers. 2 tips for oil change, to make it less messy you could either: - cut a plastic bottle diagonally and use it as a funnel to direct oil downwards. If you cut diagonally, you will have better chance of oil hitting the side of bottle - or just get loads of cardboard boxes and lay them flat on the floor
@redonKiLaus9 жыл бұрын
azn310 The oil change isn't bad at all if you hold the drain pan up to the oil pan when you first take the plug out to catch the initial burst of oil. I can't order any genuine Suzuki parts anymore, but I have sourced many of the OEM equivalents (Denso parts, for example) and many parts are also used by Mitsubishi on their vehicles, so those can also be gotten easily. I have never heard anything about motor mounts going bad for the 2.7. Are the stock ones weak? If so, I might pick up a set if I can find them. Thanks for watching!
@azn3109 жыл бұрын
Oh no, i dont know if the mounts are weak, i have had mounts failing on me after 10 years. I think its best to check the mounts first, if there is sign of crack, then you can start searching for parts. Its a bit pricey to purchase in advance.
@redonKiLaus9 жыл бұрын
Ok, thanks for clarifying - you had me a bit worried that these trucks had an issue with the mounts. I don't think I will need them for quite some time (my 4Runner is 18 years old and has nearly 200k miles on it, and it's fine), but I will see if I can source them right now, since they will probably be a bit hard to come by in the future.

I'd check O2 sensors, they can certainly be the culprit as they control the air/fuel mixture directly. Thanks for watching!

hi this happened to me as well. make sure the engine has no leaks. replace the plug hole seals and the engine maybe losing pressure and also change the gear oil. changing the gear oil improved my fuel mileage.
