I had to send back three nerd miners because after two weeks they kept dropping out. Reflashed the firmware and same thing. Just got tierd of having to reset them. Haven't tried the BitAxe models. For now I just have an old S9 where I removed 2 hashboards and have it humming away at it's lowest power setting. It's been up three weeks and chugging away like a champ. Fan only runs at about 2000 RPM so it's super quiet. Thanks for the Vid!

Hey RPM, awesome video as always! I really appreciate your detailed walkthrough of the troubleshooting process-your perseverance is inspiring! I've been eyeing these Bitaxe miners for a while but haven't taken the plunge yet, so winning the Bitaxe Gamma would be a dream. I’d love to start experimenting with solo mining and even contribute my own experiences back to the community. Your video gave me a lot of confidence in the firmware update process too. I've got the og one, and I have had a few issues with mine. I have not been able to oc mine and they would get stuck when power would fluctuate. I finally had to install new software and it started working again, recently I started seeing mine getting too hot so I pulled the heatsink off and found the paste was minimal and almost nonexistant so I had to repaste mine and now its running more stable.

I have a bitaxe ultra and two lucky miners lv06 and something they have in common is that for some reason after several hours or even weeks they restart (I guess due to lack of memory) and when they are restarted they do it wrong and the IC module does not turn on and it has to be reset with the reset button, usually when it does not start that module has a low voltage

I have two Bitaxe 400Gh, older software versions were not stable, since I have v. 2.1.8 it works stably and also reconnects automatically if wifi drops. I also changed the thermal paste, the chip temperature dropped by 5 degrees. They are overclocked by approx. 10%.

Mine stopped hashing. Updated and repasted with thermal grizzly kryonaut. Next will be a tower cooler and some tuning for better hashrate

On the ip 238 axe your voltage and Mhz is wrong aome times it loses the values if overheating you did not have to reflash it.

Had my gamma up for a couple days. Seemed to have fan issues the first day leading to 2 overheating episodes and restarts. Just checked in it via pool dashboard. While it was running fine since last night, I see that the hash rate recently dropped to nothing, so it overheated again. Interestingly, it jumped to over 2TH/s before dropping off. It’s running to default settings.

I have 5 x Bitaxe 601 Gammas. The screens all work at the moment. I had issues with the MARS LANDER screen that goes out after a few hours. Once one of the 601's hash rate did drop to 500 GH/s. Simply restarted by unplugging and plugging back in and fully seating the plug. Running version 2.4.1. I like the Web flasher firmware updater. No file downloads, just automatic update. On a mission to get 50.

I love that Bitaxe is an open-source Bitcoin project - that is right way like Satoshi envisioned. I've never had an known issue but I've never won a block solo mining so maybe there is something wrong (haha)

I have a few Lucky.miners they work good..ive mined a few things with it to see what would go down..they run bc256 solo..set em and forget em..they bounce from 900 to 3 th..I had a spike for 20 th the other night never seen that before..they dont get hot, they make noise idk I its loud..but no drops and runs steady..I have no bitaxes..cheers

I don't have any Bitaxe miners, but I would like to give it a try. I did receive this week a MaraLander BTC solo miner. It worked great the first few days. I was even able to switch to LTC merge mining, then another day later the hash is now 100% reject rate. 😢 Any ideas?

I like the bit axes. They don't really use any electricity. It's kind of just a novelty item but hey, at least you can say you are mining Bitcoin . But I would love to win this. USA

Bitaxe miners look pretty sweet. Hopefully I can recover the drive from my computer that got hacked that had my wallets on it. The wallets were locked but the drive will not boot now. If I can't recover that drive data that will be two weeks of mining lost.
