@@Love2DrawManga 2:17 (Forgive me if my grammar is bad and if I hurt your feelings) I don’t have a problem with your art style and but I suggest you something Try out different styles of eyes, I watched you for about a year now and the eyes looked the same with different colors and shaded differently Everything else is perfectly normal your lineart is incredibly clean and that’s a good thing not a bad thing, I notice that you never add pressure to your lines that’s why it looked dull, in multiple videos I know that you switch out pen/brushes to make your lines/drawing look softer but never have you notice the pressure sensitivity That’s the two main reasons why your drawings looked very dull

Don't change how you do your line art if you don't want to! Don't change it just because other people dislike it. It's your art, and you should enjoy doing it. Those are just people's opinions, even if you do make your line art more loose or messy there will still be people that like the neat lineart more. If you actually WANT to do messy loose lineart, go right ahead! But don't change because of other people's opinions. :) I'm glad you also put a hair shading tutorial in this video. And the eyes on the book cover look so pretty! I honestly never knew you made a book.. It looks really neat.

I do love your art. I know it's harsh to get comments like that. I'm just an ordinary person trying to learn manga and beka helped me improve soo much! I didn't know anything, I was new and the way beka teaches is very formal and easy to understand and Is very helpful to me:) I found love for manga from beka. The line art thing, it's so rude to say that! But here's just an advice if you also want your line art to be loose try using the pencil for line art, that really works! But if you like your line art the way it is then you don't have to change it. It's your art your choice! Keep up the the good work teacher!

My first manga book was the exact same one yours was (just a German version) and I remember how sometimes I would flip through it like three times a day! My favorite section always was the one with the animals and I can’t recall how often I drew the turtle just because I thought it was so adorable!! I love your style!! Honestly, I don't understand why anybody would want you to change it. Change comes in time and should be on the artist's time. NOt by people saying that it should change. It is okay to take those comments in and try it out but make sure it is on your time and you feel comfortable with the change. i think your lineart is completely fine and impressive as its own skill, not many people can do that much of a clean fine lineart and keep it consistent, i would only say to step outta the comfort zone regarding posing and expressions ! those are always fun to practice on

I remember a time where "Oh! Your lineart is so clean!" was one of the biggest compliments you could get, but I guess times do change. xD But how clean lines are is a purely stylistic choice that is only up to the artist and no one else. If you only feel pressured to change because of this "critique" and not because you truely want to, then dont do it.
