Well, it is about darn time I tell ya!!
The project Dyna, rescue crash bike is OFFICIALLY FINISHED and ready for the road! And man does it ever feel good to be done this project 😌 I’m absolutely loving the floorboards and those custom mounts placed them in the perfect spot for my short legs haha. I can already tell this bike is going to make a great road tripper, and that’s exactly what I plan to do with it as much as possible!
Thank you to all you who hung in there for this one 💛 I know some of you have been looking forward to this moment just as much as I have 😁 I hope you enjoy this ride!
✌️ 😘
And, anyone who want's to send me pictures of their bikes, you can email me at:
redrider.canada.bc@gmail.com
PLEASE SEND LARGE CLEAR PHOTOS!
1080p x 1080p is the MINIMUM we can work with, so please do your best at making sure your photos are large and not blurry 🙂 And send more than one if you can as well!
Only motorcycle related emails please - sorry, but I just don't have the time to engage in personal conversations.
Thank you for your understanding.
If you DON'T want your bike highlighted in a future video showing viewers bikes then make sure to mention it in your email. Other than that, expect to see your bike in one of my videos!
If you would like my PO BOX address you can find it in the description to my channel by following this link:

I don’t know if you ever saw the movie and then TV show Along came Bronson. But when I was a kid I loved that show I swore I would travel the country on a bike with a tarp and a sleeping bag. Sleeping under the stars like a modern day cowboy. Never did real life got in the way. Johnny Crash definitely a nice ride. You take care and stay safe.

Hi 👋, Red Rider, Thank you for sharing your road trip out for the first time on your dinner, Johnny Cash crash, I was leaning breaking virtually the same time you,was I enjoyed it, oh yes, , thank you great being back on the bike , 😂, I think somebody else pass comment on the exhaust sounded a bit restricted , I think the same, You were commenting on the rear brake, I think sign it didn’t feel very good , and I thought it might of been because of new brake pads, But I think you made the new brake set up yourself, or your father did , is the length of the pivoting action of the brake lever too short, And I could just imagine you driving down the road with a big smile on your face , 😂 , Ride Safe, I look 👀 forward to seeing your road trip, Thank you once again for sharing , Phil from the moulin France,

This vid brought a smile to my face. I can only imagine how big a smile you had riding down the road! You are right about the shovel starting out "faster" than Johnny Crash. Chain drive versus belt drive will win every time. I knew those floorboards would make a big difference in your riding stance and comfort. Your Dyna probably feels like a big touring bagger compared to your Shovel lol. Loved seeing and hearing your happiness as you went down the road, I would say the traffic in your town is kind of a bummer for motorcyclists. Can't wait for no traffic or stop lights to hear that motor humming! Johnny Crash does sound great rolling down the road! Ride and stay safe in your beautiful B.C.!

Very cool bike! Definitely better for road trips than most Shovels. 5th gear will keep your RPMs down at highway speeds. Belts are better on the tight side, unlike chains that are better a little on the loose side. I like the mufflers you guys built. Their may be some teething pains ahead getting it sorted and set up for road trips. So more cool videos! You and your Dad should be really proud of your work yet again. Comment #2: say, Red, be careful about loading the dyna too heavily; also keep 'er balanced. You want to avoid the "dyna wobble". Good tyres and proper belt adjustment go a long way, and always keep a check on the rear alignment. The other thing is be careful about your speed when you start loading the dyna for a road trip. Take 'er easy till you know the handling under load. You want to avoid the "tank slapper"; and you don't want it to be Johnny crash again. 😅 ... such a cool bike; you and your dad did such a fantastic job; very impressive. marcus

I am thinking that a Dyna has a lot of Cubic Inches you can shift up a gear from what you are running in in this video ..

Hey Red, All the old timers tell me not to idle on choke. Start the bike give it time to stabilize on the choke, maybe 15 seconds. Then get that thing rolling and turn off the choke. Don't jump on it hard. Keep it running with throttle. Prevents foulling they say. Alternatively start it on choke, then use the throttle lock to idle it off choke.

I can't give any of my mags away, lol. Dating back to the late '60s, I have 25 plus years of Street choppers, Hotbike, Supercycle, Iron horse, Outlaw biker, Easyriders, In the wind, Biker and WAY more car and truck mag titles. Last time I counted it was over 250 milk crates full of mags and catalogs, and yes, I was obsessed as a kid/adult. At one point in my early teens I had 19 subscriptions and the rest of the stuff from before my time I got at estate auctions/classifieds. I'm not a hoarder, just an ephemera collector, lol. That's not including factory Chevy, GMC, BOP, Cadillac, FLM, AMC/Jeep, Fisher, Mopar, Haynes, Chilton and Motor manuals from the '40s to '80s, I couldn't help myself, the local libraries threw out physical copies and I filled my dump truck with them, twice. My name is Gene and I have a problem, lol. The Dyna came out great, Angel, stay safe and keep on keepin on!

Wow! I'm jealous. I love my UL, would have no other, 'till death do we part, but it would be nice to also have a "civilized" bike like the Dyna. My BMW is civilized, and is more "tame", polite and refined, but it's not a Harley. A bike like your Dyna would be a nice in between. ! Okay, good job! Your Pal, the Rat.

Cool ride. I think riding that after riding the shovel is going to spoil you (electric start, what??); I'm sure it's very comfy. Looks like a pretty nice bike, although I still like your shovelhead better. BTW, while you were riding, I was looking down at your speedometer thinking "she's hauling ass; why is she going so fast?" until I realized it was kilometers and not miles. Duh! Hilarious! Being a clueless American is great! Love your videos and I'm happy to see you got some more copies of the magazine.

You can get after market, ajustable floorboards for your shovel too, ( Note : Don't get the solid ones, make sure you get the rubber mounted " shaker " ones. I have a set on my 1982 FXWG, and they are fantastic, you just remove your front pegs, and mount the floorboards to the peg mounts, adjust them to your liking, and enjoy! PS : remember to loc-tite your adjustment bolts once you figure out what is comfortable to you.
