Hi 👋 Miss Red Rider, What a piece of Mechanics!!! Robust does not mean always robust design, but that is definitely “tanky” huge. I think that in my feather-weight bike, the whole gearbox/clutch assembly is less voluminous than that ratchet shaft and case. God bless America 🇺🇸 (and Canada 🇨🇦 too)!

Labor of love

Bike builds are like our children, they never stop growing. We change colors, shocks, carbs or rebuild engines again only to go for a lower slung seat that requires different bars and grips. Now I want a longer range so I retune and add a bigger tank and that requires paint, no wait a mural dedicated to Panheads ridden by a Gorgeous Redhead. Then the new wheel bill comes the same day as the propane tank and I think I can stay warm this late winter with half a tank cause I'll cut more firewood!!! Why not, I already shut off the electricity and used Kerosene through the house and run the generator for lights in the shop. I'll take on some spring prep work to afford the mural and wide white wall tires. Addiction? No! I'm living life to the fullest with one terrific priority. You are not alone Red. Cold starting i rolled mine over 3 times (primer kicks) then turn the ignition on and she'd fire right up on the next kick.
