Ortiz's play was AMAZING. This team is so fun to watch.

So many young exciting players. As you said Joey Ortiz, then Sal Frelick, Brice Turang, Jackson Chourio, Garrett Mitchell, hopefully Tyler Black can make a difference. The veterans Wily Adames, William Contreras, Rhys Hoskins, have been nothing short of fantastic. And Colin Rea has been flat out awesome! These two new pitchers we got have some good stuff as well. Given the fact that this team's pitching staff is in shambles, our closer was out until recently, Brandon Woodruff out, and Corbin Burnes gone, they've done a absolutely fantastic job. This team has so much potential going forward. I have just been in AWE of this team's run.

One word. DEFENSE! This team has made some absolutely fantastic, amazing, incredible, unbelievable, impossible, and flat out Highlight Reel catches all year! From the Homerun stealing catches, the diving catches, sliding catches, leaping grabs, and plays like the one made @ the 4:50 mark. EVERY SINGLE player has been absolutely phenomenal on defense. Spot on perfect throws to home plate, 3rd base from the outfield. Contreras and Sanchez throwing out runners at 2nd trying to steal a base. Great decision making in every single aspect of the game. Pat Murphy has done a phenomenal job with this team!

There is absolutely NOTHING better than packing up the car, and heading out to a ⚾️Baseball⚾️game⚾️!! We spent 1977-1982 at Milwaukee County🏟Stadium🏟 and those are some of the most amazing memories I have. The ONLY thing, well for a kid anyways that comes close to a game, is packing up the car/wagon and heading out to the Drive-in Theater!! But that's a different story. I moved from Milwaukee in 2001-02. I've come back to visit a couple of times. Twice to see Brewers games during the 2010's. While Miller Park, sorry American Family Field is a great place, I really loved Milwaukee County Stadium. Even so, I can imagine how amazing this game was!

Nice of you to say. It is wild how much the Reds and Pirates have struggled for most of the past few decades. Just can’t seem to put it together for any length of time. Meanwhile you can almost always count on the crew to be good.

@@christopherdebaere7486 oh sure. I lived thru that too - it was pretty rough - just like I lived thru the mid 70’s teams. But lately this team is just solid most of the time. Tip of the cap to the front office for at least keeping us competitive.

Makes you forget about Yeli pretty quick eh?
@EdsterIII3 ай бұрын
@@richieboy6825No it doesn't! Why is everyone so quick to dismiss Christian Yelich? 3 years ago fans were calling him done, trade him, and other variables. He is a great hitter, power, contact, speed, and can be very clutch. I will admit the injuries have been tough, but this entire team has looked like a M*A*S*H unit all season. With Yelich back in the lineup you have a .300+ hitter who can tear the hide off a ball at any time. Fans were calling for Wily Adames to be traded too? He's also had some tough stretches as well, but like Christian Yelich he's come out of it. The last 7 games Adames has 4 homeruns, 8 RBI's, and a average well over. 300. He's up to 21 homeruns and he has a great shot at 30 HR's & 100 RBI's. The Brewers NEED to start solidifying their team longterm. Adames is still young and obviously very talented! He needs to be extended!

Dog days of August we need solid starting pitching to close out the season and prepare for post season. Nice job.

Considering how battered the Pitching staff is, I'm amazed that this team has been able to be so successful. Colin Rea has been on 🔥fire🔥! These two new guys we picked up will get better. Freddy Peralta really needs to get back on track. Without Brandon Woodruff, Freddy was supposed to be our "Ace". He's shown flashes of that type of stuff but he's been getting hit hard, especially early on in games. IF BIG IF, the Brewers Pitching staff stayed healthy? Or if their Pitching staff can GET healthy heading into September? This could be a very dangerous team.

I just worry about us facing elite pitching in the playoffs because I don’t know how well our rotation will hold up.
@ET-df2xz3 ай бұрын
The way to combat this has already had a played out recipe. The year Chacin was the 'ace'. If we get to the post season the focus becomes on having the majority of your staff capable of going multiple innings. You build with the assumption that 75% of your post season pitching staff are all capable of giving you 2+ innings. The focus is one time through the order for most of those pitchers. The game has changed in needing aces. The goal is to get non-WAR deficient outs. The brewers have set themselves up well with this. A prime focus on multi-inning BP arms with WHIP below 1.25.

I think that you have Mears confused with Civale and Montas! Although he pitched decent tonight, in no way do I want to see Civale or Montas starting a playoff game for us. I would rather we do a "pitcher by committee" game. I'd rather the Brewers call up Misiorowski in September, Civale gets released, and put Montas in the long relief role come playoffs. Civale and Montas give up home runs like people give out candy at a parade!
