This is the version of Frankie Montas the Yankees expected to get a couple years ago, they always seem to get shut down by former pitchers after they leave the Bronx.
@gffjjuu26975 ай бұрын
Truthfully, I think it's more about the Yankees being absolutely atrocious right now than it is about Montas being good. A double A pitcher could go 7 scoreless innings against the Yankees currently
@coreyrowe41195 ай бұрын
@@gffjjuu2697 I can't say I disagree, the Yankees lineup isn't very intimidating once you get past Soto and Judge. Yankees also got shut down by Taillon and Montgomery last season. It just seems like this happens everytime they face a former starting pitcher these days.

Did you not read my comment? I said he didn't get paid as much because he's a clubhouse cancer, not because he's a bad pitcher. He's a very good pitcher and I wished that his success would allow scouts to not be so stupid and discredit any pitcher who's heigth starts with a 5 but nope, still practically no pitchers 5'11 or shorter even though there is no science saying small pitchers are bad, just stereotypes about stuff and durability scouts still judge based on height. For fucks sake how many times has Spencer Strider been called short for being 6 feet. I heard an announcer once say somethinh about him being "small" possibly lowering his duribility when non idiots would be thinking this guy is a starter who throws upper 90s maybe that'll lower his durability. Pedro Martinez was 5'11 and skinny and yes he was prone to September slowdownd but back then they threw so many more innings it's stupid to think someone can't pitch nowadays because of their height.
