In March of 73 my brother and I drove to Shellharbour from Cronulla during a 8’ SE swell - looked South across the bay and Red Sands was smokin’ on the rising tide. We drove around and couldn’t believe no one else was out. Same the next day. Just lucky.

@@PiggoVision Luv ya vids mate.. Im born bred shellharbour warilla area.. moved to QLD in the 90's. Havnt been back there in years, so its good to find ya stuff. I really miss my home. The waves.. the mountains. Had some good surfs up ere, fun.. but nuffin like home. We used to hang out on shellhatbour sth beach every summer.. Get urchins in our feet at shallows.. jump off the coal jetty.. head over to the farm. Best memories. Thanks mate

Seriously dangerous wave. A friend broke her back bodyboarding there. She's paralyzed from the waist down.

Yeah it can be a deadly wave if you get it wrong out there. Wow that's not good, I do recall hearing a similar story about 15 years ago.
