I actually don't see a very busy offseason. Why? Five MLB ready blue-chip prospects. Anthony and Campbell in the lineup. Meidroth and Teel on the bench. Mayer joining by mid-season. Sign a couple of good pitchers through free agency, especially a dominant ace and they'll be good to go for years.

This Team's biggest need is clearly pitching, and we know Ownership does not like to spend. So our only option to contend in 2025 is to put packages together with some of our highly touted L hitting prospects in order to obtain Arms. We have plenty of Offense.

Don't look for them to expand payroll in a significant way. One year, and two year deals will be the norm. Kind of like what they've been doing. Duran is a force. Did he have a career year in 24? If so, moving him now would be prudent.

I really think that most fans are undervaluing the Red Sox starting rotation 5th in AL in ERA ( ahead of the Yankees ) Tanner is absolutely a top of the rotation pitcher. Crawford as a 5 hole is way above average. Most teams would jump at a 5 hole arm that gives you 33 starts 180 plus inngs 175 strikeouts 4.39 era ( 6 innings 3 earned runs is a quality start = 4.50 ERA ) A TOP TEN OBA .223! …Bello ..Gialito.. add a top of the rotation arm Fried …Burnes..Crochet Flaherty ..etc you have one of the best rotation in the league.. I predicted before the season started that this rotation was going to be much better than anticipated And they definitely exceeded expectations. To be fair I also thought they would have Sale….shhhhhhh let’s not go there lol

Originally I thought Duran was the most likely to be traded but I no longer think so. Masa and Abreau are the most likely to go. Also I'd be shocked if they trade Bello, Houck or Crawford are more likely to go. However I doubt they trade any pitching but I psyched to get into the hot stove!

I want them to spend on pitching. Not sure they will. J.H. is a tight wad. I think he loves trades similar to Fitts and Preister which don't cost him much. Would love to see Fried in Boston. He's a solid healthy southpaw. I would welcome that . An additional couple quality arms for the bullpen would work wonders. Come on over Tanner Scott ! Love your ideas Corbin. Have a great weekend. How much can Redsox depend on Giolito, Hendricks, (Fulmer maybe) and Whitlock as part of pitching staff? Can Story, Casas, Grissom and Yoshida be effective regulars? Very difficult to predict. There's a lot of young talent to factor into decisions. Will Breslow be allowed to sign costly FA starting pitching? Once that is known things will begin to fall into place.

Red Sox still.were over 200 mil this year. Front office never said they wouldn't spend. Right now they are at 105 mil plus 19 mil or so in arbitrations. I bet they'll spend,but I still.think they fear spending long term on pitching and prefer to go shorter term but higher AAV.

I don't think they need to spend big just to spend big. I believe they should be secretly in on Soto and be prepared to out bid for Tanner Scott while eyeing a second LH RP like Minter or Chapman. 2. Duran Whitlock and Kutter package to Philly for Painter Graves McFarlane and either Abel or 2 other LL prospects. Duran will sting but this does solve the pitching issue with Houck Bello Giolti and Painter leaving Breslow only needing an ACE. Breslow can bid for Fried or Snell while also dangkinging thr same package to Seattle for Kirby or a prospect package of Mayer Montgomery Perales and The Password plus LL prospects if needed for Euery and either Sandy or Luzardo

I totally agree that we should not sign Alonso. I have watched a lot of Mets games this year and Alonso almost never comes through at the plate. He struck lightning once in the playoffs. Casas is so much better. Please no more about trading Casas! We need pitching. I prefer to buy 2 starters but I am also open to trading for relief help, probably Abreu and minor leaguers.

I the Rob will be on the Sox or retire. I could see Hamilton traded. I think they will keep the 4 top prospects and find a way for them all to be on the major league roster this year. I totally agree Mayer will not make the opening day roster. Chase Medroth has a better shot.. I would like to sign Fried but I do not see the Red Sox giving up draft capital, so I could see Luis Severino instead. I do not wish to see Dean go. He is the spark that makes the Red Sox go. I also do not wish to see Casas go.
