The 1993 sequel to Super Wrestlemania comes with a bigger number of wrestlers, improved graphics and gameplay, and also much more improved and accurate theme music. The wrestler select screen is also more interesting, as it now has biographies for the wrestlers. The Genesis / Megadrive 12 man roster features Randy Savage, Bret Hart, Hulk Hogan, Undertaker, Crush, Jim Duggan, Lex Luger, Shawn Michaels, Rick Martel. Papa Shango, Razor Ramon and IRS.

You know one of the big problems with pro wrestling and wrestlers now adays is that the wrestlers have no charisma or anything. Like when this game was made, you Hulk Hogan who was the All-American hero, Razor Ramon who was like the Cuban-American gangster type, you had Papa Shango the peculiar voodoo character. Everyone seems the same now.

All right. Jim Johnston (the musician who did the themes) recycles stuff all the time. LISTEN CLOSELY to a real version of Martel's song and immediatley Val's it's a retread. He redid Razor Ramon's into Austin's. He redid Luger's Narcissist into Chris Master's. Kurt Angle's was originally the Patriot's. Hacksaw's was originally John Studd's. Jerry Lawler's was originally King Haku's

I remember Luger's music being like this when he first came into the WWF and he donned that long cape and had the mirrors set up all around the ring. I always hated that guy, from that first promo he did where he was drinking milk or something. He ended up marrying Miss Elizabeth, God bless her soul. She was always the best. I loved her with Macho Man back in the day.

That's because, in 1992, IRS and DiBiase were part of the 'Money Incorporated' tag team, managed by Jimmy Hart, who ended up winning the WWF World Tag Team Championships. So, IRS used DiBiase's theme. Makes sense, as IRS had no theme song of his own. =P
