Hands down one of the most thorough reviews I’ve seen recently! Thank you for going into such detail. I’ve been eyeing this up for a while and you’ve given me food for thought and a solid idea of what it plays like. Thanks again dude.

I found the sound of this bass to be very pleasing. It looks cool too. I imagine this could be an inexpensive entrée to the world of fanned-fret basses.

I was searching for any opinons about this before I bought it, so knowing how hard it is, I'll share with impressions from my first week with that guitar. It's not for everyone, If You expect to put it out of box and play gig with it- forget it. It looks awesome, sounds great and pretty comfortable but setup, hardware and quality of assembly is very lacking. Tuners are very cheap, even knobs feels strange, and nut was damaged. Past week I polished frets (they were very dirty), changed nuts, strings and ordered tuners, also cleaned and polished neck pocked. After all this, I'm very satisfied, because I was expecting dodgy QC and what I'll need to invest to make it work. If you have patience, some DIY skills and extra $ for parts- great deal.

A lot of people were hatinf on this bass and I have no idea why, especially after your review. The look is straight up fly and I'm digging the neck attachment depth. Sounds great , the bridge pick up is pretty fat sounding and the neck pick up has more than enough bass which can be adjusted. It can do the thunderous fingerstyle and slap, and it has a really nice sound for chords. And the price is butter too. And the available colors and finishes? Please! I'm getting one!! Once again, great job on the demo B!!

I wasn’t expecting too much tonal difference between the ‘neck’ and ‘bridge’ pickups, seeing as they’re so close together; but there really is. I have considered getting the 4 string version of this, which isn’t fan-fretted. I’ve never tried a multi scale instrument.

If you are buying one of these. Be prepared for them to come with a few QC issues. The finish on the neck on mine wasn't great and I got the 7 bolt neck in the UK. Great sounding bass though and the QC issues didn't affect the playability.

Got one of these when they were 1st released back in 2020. My one has the pictured neck joint, they must've changed the design since the 1st batch. Its a solid construction with the old joint.

@@BullyThaKidd The newer neck bolt pattern means that the neck is much thicker to grasp when using the high frets because you're reaching around the body thickness too.. Did this affect you much? (From the video, it seems like you didn't play much up there.)

Thanks for the review! I picked up one of these a few weeks ago because I wanted to try a fanned fret 6 bass without dropping £1K on a Ibanez or £2k on a Dingwall and was impressed by it - though mine needs a set up as it has some bad fret buzzing around the 14 to 18th frets and its still lockdown in Scotland. Only other thing is it keeps popping off the strap when im standing up so would recommend getting a decent strap and some strap locks.

I got the blue 5 strings an is just like the picture I have no problems in tuning is also thiner than the 6th string closer to the 24 fret, I had to do groud shielding and I don't like it I love it

I honestly enjoyed the 20 minute jam more than that bass - it's neat but there are a lot of contenders in that style at good price points. I like my Washburn MB6 and it was only a couple hundred bucks, although I would like to have at least one single cutaway bass at some point just to experiment with the additional tonal mass. I need a fretless 6 now and then I'll have a good set of tones from 4, 5, and 6 stringers. Thanks for a nice little study in a variety of basic jam grooves inspired by the tones you were dialing in. :-) Everyone talks about how to get tones but not so much about any depth in what they're used for lol

Great looking and sounding bass, I don't care much for the color pallette, I'm wondering is they have a natural finish? I play 4 and 5 string basses, and by the looks of things..... it performs very well! Something to consider with a high E low B variables that just sounds very unique!

An interesting bass i must say. i have a Yamaha TRBX 305 that i took off the b string to put a high c on it instead and it gives me the upper range i like for chords and melodic playing. my only issue is the string aren't low enough and i am reluctant to mess with the intonation(i have been lowering from the bridge saddles). do have any suggestions for messing with the intonation ? Love the content. keep up the great work !

Why do you prefer the 5 bolt to the 7 bolt dude? I'm looking to get one of these but the 5 string. My first bass. You think I'll be better off with the normal non fanfret bass as my first bass? I'm a metal guitarist and will use the bass for mostly metal.
