I love Mahomes but he'll tell you he's not the only player on the team. He knows it takes a team to get anything done. Just watch how he cheers his teammates on from the sidelines. Someone in the Chiefs organization is doing something seriously right because we've gathered together a lot of great outstanding players. Every person on the team is dangerous and can make a game-changing play at any moment. Now of course we have Mahomes to link it all together with unbelievable ability. This is the best Kansas City Chiefs team I have ever seen in my life. Finally it's reasonable to think we might get to the Superbowl and even win It.

Definitely respect Pat more than any other QB drafted within the last 5 years in the NFL. He is humble (REAL though..NO politics, NOT "humble" for media). Shows up for WORK (not the game for himself, but the Real work for the team) and has been putting his heart into every game; took the opportunity that was presented to him, and now has proved he's the "kind of leader" they need to build around. Being an excellent player combined with his personality is what makes me a fan, more so, than other qb's. Chiefs are blessed with this man.

This is probably my favorite video you've ever done. The only thing is at the beginning when he says "for unexplained, mysterious reasons they've lost all 6" I have to laugh. Nothing mysterious about how bad Bono, Grbac, Cassel, Alex Smith, and our 2003 defense were. I don't believe in curses or ghosts. In each playoff game we've lost, we've been fatally flawed in one way or another, and opposing playoff teams are gonna expose them. Hopefully against the Colts this time Mahomes is good enough to overcome our fatally flawed 2018 defense.

You are trying to excuse Alex's 2016 playoff failure against the Steelers. That was an abysmal performance that is definitely on par with past QB failures for this franchise. I liked it. But it was incredibly unfair to a pro bowler who threw for 4k yards and more deep completions than any nfl qb in 2017. You cherry picked Smiths bad plays. I like mahomes. But after he throws 28 picks next year, i fear i will be defending HIM from fans like you. I base that on 30 years of qbs coming through kc. This town eats qbs for breakfast. Always have.
@claytonwendler52706 жыл бұрын
LOL. Bono, Grbac and Cassel were Pro Bowlers, too. I didn't "cherry pick" anything because Smith blew most of those games. PERIOD. Where was the deep ball in the playoffs? MIA!
@jasonfrontera99696 жыл бұрын
Clay Wendler its the delivery. Like u showed the failed 2pt conversion against pittsburgh. He lead the 4th quarter drive to score the td AND got the 2pts. Your left tackle fucked us all on that one. You highlighted the home games. But i remember alex throwing for miles against the colts in the 2013 playoffs. Also there were a TON of drops against the steelers. But its more fun to blame the qbs. Its like drops dont count. People roll their eyes if you even mention drops. Its a qb culture.
@claytonwendler52706 жыл бұрын
Drops happen to every QB. They happened to Mahomes in Denver. Alex is gone because he failed in the playoffs. Repeatedly. I can't believe HE'S GONE and people are STILL making excuses for his sorry choker ass.
@jasonfrontera99696 жыл бұрын
Clay Wendler well dont run him out if town when he wins 7 games or less next year. As with every qb, im sure i will he defending pat when the kc posse mob mentality comes for him as well. Its like one unending cycle of hate. A couple of consecutive losses in the afc championship will run him out im sure. I can see the youtube vid now. The curse of the afc championship games. And of course the qb will be at fault. Nobody thumbs up the video about the shitty o line.
@claytonwendler52706 жыл бұрын
The mob only comes for the QBs because they know from the start they aren't good enough. At least the smart fans do. Retread game managers don't work. This fan base should have a lot more patience for a rookie QB. I know I will. I don't care what the regular season record is next year. I only care that we are building towards postseason success. Drafting a QB and starting him is the first step on that road. The old one leads nowhere.
@dfp_015 ай бұрын
The Chiefs' playoff record through their first 58 seasons was 9-18. In that time, they did win 3 AFL titles and a Super Bowl, but after being eliminated in the 1993 AFC championship, they won only 1 of their 11 playoff games across the 24 seasons leading up to Mahomes' postseason debut. After 6 years of Mahomes, their current franchise playoff record is 24-21, with 3 Super Bowl titles and counting since he entered the league. We will never forget the misery that preceded him, but _boy_ is it ever nice to have him under center.
@carloslara8916 жыл бұрын
lmao. I am a die hard chiefs fan. you really think this teams offense is gonna be different with Mahomes??? you do realize that it's a West coast offense? a offense focused on short throws like lots of bubble screens and etc. and running the football? this offense is designed take a couple shots down the field but not many that won't change with Mahomes. Andy Reid is the reason. he calls the plays and he is the reason we lost the titans game. lmao how does Kareem hunt only get 8 carries in a playoff game ? no wonder why he hasn't won't a super bowl yet.
@carloslara8916 жыл бұрын
James Richardson ikr. It's just frustrating as a fan watching this season. AND HE DECIDED TO keep Bob sutton? Are u kidding me!? Andy needs to be fired honestly. After watching that titans game and seeing kareem hunt not in in the game plan really pissed me off. Even when travis got hurt he refused to give kareem the ball.
@carloslara8916 жыл бұрын
James Richardson sutton needs to go period especially after this season. He is so damn hard headed. He never makes adjustments ever. He must forget his defense isn't the same as the previous years where our defense carried us with Houston a prime Hali and. Shawn smith was still good when he played for us so Bob would play man to man across the board because we has a good tandom. But this entire season he didn't change a damn thing even after Josh McCown killed us. Nope he was intent on playing man to man with phlip gains in the game 😂😂

Both of you are absolutely delusional. Just looking at the titans game alone in the second half we came out with a similar game plan to the first half and Alex did not execute. His security blanket was gone and his ability was $hit. Andy does call the plays but Alex has been notorious even in his time in SF of getting happy feet and not making the intermediate throws due to his lack of arm talent and trust in his abilities. Watch Reid with Donovan before the decline. He was throwing the ball down field. Yes they do screens and short passes like every offense in the league but a west coast offense is designed to make you have to cover every blade of grass and with AS11 no defense has to do that. Nothing was wrong with the playcalling in the second half outside of that RPO that AS11 took to the outside. Other than that we threw the ball 16 out of 21 plays because our "highest rated" "pro-bowl alternate QB" couldn't even pick up a first down. You also must have forgotten we won the TO battle 2-0. Time to move on from a game manager and see what this kid has to offer. No matter what it is better than the illusion that AS11 tried to give us!

Carlos Lara I’ve been a chiefs fan for 39 years. I’ve finally come to the conclusion that this organization is a joke. A team for your dumbdowned mid westerner.

Carl Hitchins Then stop rooting and watching them if you feel that way. No one is forcing you to.

He takes too many risks...DBs in the nfl are going to play the ball more than in college
@joebin32866 жыл бұрын
At least he will throw it. Have to learn to make throws in tight windows as a QB in the NFL Alex isnt capable.

I believe I literally wet my pants at the graphics in the last 20-30 seconds. Very nice job. I have suffered through every highlight in this video including more than I want to remember all the way back to Buffalo in '93 where I wore my Chiefs garb proud after driving through what felt like 15 dry towns the day prior... yes, dry, the day before the AFC Championship game...listening to an 80+ year old lady on the 50 yard line in Indy in 2013 congratulating me at halftime for the win, but I knew better after all these years, telling her that she should wait until it was over only to have her shove so much crap up my ass when it was said and done. This is the first year since 2003 that there is hope and I would say where not deep, the Defense it definitely better.
