LOL, we get so many compliments on how clean this 94 jeep yj is on the tail.

I put this in my '07 Scion TC behind the rear quarter speaker area cuz it was just pure metal,, I mean if I poke a hole you're gonna see right through it, so I got this and it definitely eliminated raod nose and I only did one of the rear quarter panel ((I had an accident so I'm going to wait on the repair and then spray the other side)) I can't wait till I do to to see the major improvement as. I also did it underneath the the spare wheel as well with 2 cans andi ordered 2 more.

That is great to hear. This cut road noise for us as well. We are going to put more insulation and carpet on the floor to cut more heat now that we installed ac in the jeep

We have panel van and engine bay under drivers seat. Engine noise is so high. Does this helps to reduce sound???
@ChrisDoesWhat5 ай бұрын
This will help with the metal resonance. Our son also went over this with insulation and carpet after we added ac to the jeep.

@@ChrisDoesWhat thanks a lot for fast reply... I mean just this spray alone with normal carpet reduce some decibels???
@ChrisDoesWhat5 ай бұрын
@varghesejoy1791 it may because it reduces metal vibration, but we did this more because of the subwoofer in the jeep.

Coming to this late but how many cans and how many coats? Or did you just go for a certain thickness of the layer? Thinking of doing this myself since my TJ doesn't have carpet.

I'm highly allergic to mold, so I'm paranoid about carpet. My doctor had me get rid of it out of my house. Would this be a good alternative to carpet?
@ChrisDoesWhat3 жыл бұрын
It would, or just bedliner paint. Be aware you will lose the insulation under the carpet, which is a great source of mold, and in hot or cold your HVAC may not keep you as comfortable as you might like.

im on the opposite end of the spectrum with jeep sounds than most. I own 3 jeeps, my favorite is a 1995 yj. And i absolutely hate the sound of them. I had my exhaust guy install resonators on all 3..cut the exhaust noise in half. Then as you said i used this under the fenders, under the main body especially above the exhaust. 40oz jute carpet padding under the carpet. but this under the fenders did wonders.

@@ChrisDoesWhat Finally got around to doing this on my YJ, fully underestimated how much I would need. I started with 3 cans but ended up needing more My YJ is red and the red paint would show through. it took 7 cans for an even coat for the inner tub.

@@discoveringmikey glad you like it, ours was like solid bedliner but not near the price. Yours may take longer to dry because of the 7 cans.

How did it do for heat prevention to the floor?
@ChrisDoesWhat3 жыл бұрын
It is okay still it hits the 90's here in Florida if you want to use the AC. But I had a convertible car that the AC didn't do that well in the upper 90's and I bought it new. With the windows down, didn't notice much of a difference between the carpet and this, the carpet in this jeep was on it's last leg. Also we did this before we installed AC, we are looking at ways right now to insulate the floor more.

I would warn people to use a real respirator, as the vapor can damage lungs.

Everyone should read the warnings on all products they use and protect themselves how they see fit. The way they adult is up to them.

@ChrisDoesWhat kids don't always choose wisely. My brother ended up with bad lungs and nervous system damage by inhaling paint in an enclosed place. Before warnings were ever issued

Well we've road in it and all we hear is Jeep exhaust, stereo, etc. If you have bed liner I probably spray it underneath the floor. Our son never complains about any noise with the 2100 watt stereo system he has, those videos are coming.
