In the hunt for the softest suspension, have you seen the suspension from N2003 Auto Part. They show off a magnetic suspension for 3250 usd. The video name is, Adaptive Suspension-Magnetic suspension Tesla Model 3 & Model Y. It looks something like a magneride. It looks like the ultimate suspension, if it is not a Chinese fake.

Thank you so much for making this. The only thing I hate is the ride quality. These videos really help.

Yes I do have a 3 with theTein coilovers. But selling to get the new performance and just got a Y. So thinking transferi the coils or buying shocks to the Y 😅
@zevcentric5 ай бұрын
if you got the AWD dual motor Flex Z then those can move over to the Y.

Are these much more comfortable than the Tein EnduraPro Plus Adjustable Shocks with stock springs? Worth the upgrade?

Please send an email so we can further discuss.

Hi Zev, if I put the FPX GT on a long range, will I not get any drop at all? I am hoping to at least get down to the ride height of an MYP, is that doable on this set!
@zevcentric4 ай бұрын
Yes that should be doable. Email us and we can help you purchase them and set them up. Zevcentric@gmail.com

Great review. Any spring noise or creaking with these vs the MPP comfort non-adjustable units? Thanks
@zevcentric8 ай бұрын
The MPP non adjustables are more quiet. Redwood still hasn't resolved minor spring creaking/binding on the front dampers. MPP/KW has a very good design for the lower spring perch that eliminates that issue.

How would you say these compare to the new Ohlins comfort? ;)
@zevcentric5 ай бұрын
Good question. Guess you will have to wait for your video.
@daniloreyes25 ай бұрын
So in the video, you said the Teins are almost as comfortable. What is the minimum you can lower with the Teins? And What is the maximum you can lower on these FPX?
@zevcentric5 ай бұрын
Minimum on Tein Flex Z is about half inch on the YP and 1" on the YLR. FPX GT lowest recommended is YP height. With this soft a rate you really don't want to go lower than that as you'll be engaging bumpstops prematurely. If you don't mind can you lmk the time stamp for where I said they are almost as comfortable? There is a difference in comfort at slow speeds versus high speeds, dips, potholes, etc... It's so hard to make a blanket statement and I want to make sure I understand the full context of what was said. This was filmed some time ago and quite lengthy considering this is a trimmed down/edited version. This will be very helpful for me as I do not want people to be misled.

@@zevcentric 16:06 " in fact, I think these are even more comfortable than the Tein..." So I understood that Tein are the most comfortable ( before the FXP came to market). I do have Teins on my 3, and they are comfy, so if these are better then these are the ones to get.
@daniloreyes25 ай бұрын
@@zevcentric I think you said than the Tein shocks themselves (16:10- ) . Are the Tein shocks more comfortable than the Tein coils?
@zevcentric5 ай бұрын
@@daniloreyes2 it's all relative to price and there's a difference between the Flex Z coilovers and the Tein shocks themselves. You have the Flex Z coilovers if I recall. There will be a compromise in handling with these with those softer rates. Ride quality also has to be divided into high speed, low speed, minor surface textutres, big dips, and body control. In addition to that is ride height desires. To lower or not to lower. It's a lot to take in and compare. Very hard to find a damper that can do everything.
@zevcentric5 ай бұрын
@@daniloreyes2 the Tein shocks are a longer stroke damper and can use the softer factory spring rates or an aftermarket lowering spring. It's just different. The model 3 is dramatically different than the Model Y as well so please do not cross compare. The same damper set on a 3 will not feel as good on a Y. The Model 3 adapts to aftermarket suspension very well. The Model Y is a bit finnicky and much harder to dial in. It's critical that you work with an extremely experienced consultant if you have a Model Y to determine your best options. I cannot say that what's good for one person is good for another.

So what's your ranking for comfort between FPX GT, Ohlin Street, Redwood Ohlin GT, MPP Comforts non-adj?
@zevcentric5 ай бұрын
Its very relative to your needs/desires and budgets. Best to work with a consultant who is able to go over all that with you. Feel free to email us.

KW has own upper mount for 2 years already 😶
@zevcentric5 ай бұрын
Yes but not cross compatible with other coilovers that have a larger pin top thats 12mm. This is the first modular assembly. Also not easily attainable or cost effective for a cast piece like stock. This mount is billet aluminum.
