None off this is "true" rap beef;" true" rap beef was the 80s when it was boogie down productions v/s the juice crew; Marley marl/ mc shan vs scott la rock/ KRS-ONE, nothing can top that beef, go listen to kill that "noise" and "the bridge is over"
@xp8969Ай бұрын
Your disconnect from reality is wild, this is the biggest beef since then and once Kendrick dropped Meet The Grahams and Not Like Us it became the biggest beef of all time
@jerryhall5759Ай бұрын
@@xp8969 on the contrary my friend, the biggest beef since then, had to be LL obliterating ice "T" with "to the break of dawn" that beef was two legends going at it, Kendrick is far superior to drake which makes this a mismatch; hence this so called beef is somewhat dubious 💥
@xp8969Ай бұрын
@@jerryhall5759 your ignorance is wild bro, 99% of hiphop fans don't even know about the LL Cool J and Ice T beef, there are tons of battles that are bigger that you could have used as an example (Jay vs Nas, and Eazy E vs Dre and Snoop, and Em and Obie and D12 and 50 vs Ja Rule and Benzino and Everlast, even Canibus vs LL was bigger and there are a ton more) but none of them come close to what Kendrick just did, the only one that even comes close to coming close is all of Em's beefs put together but those were all a long time ago and took place spread out over several years where as Kendrick dropped an entire albums worth of diss tracks over the past month and he did it against one of the popular and successful rappers of all time where as the only truly big name that Em murked was Ja Rule, and I don't even like Drake so I'm not giving him any props for having talent but the fact remains that he has sold more albums than 90% of rappers put together, Drake is to Millenials what LL Cool J was to Gen X in terms of being pop star who raps and who 99% of his fans wear high heels, and he's also kinda like MC Shan (only with waaay more success and slightly less talent) where as Kendrick is like a much older version of who KRS was when South Bronx dropped, I suggest you go listen to all 12 of the tracks that got released in this battle cause Kendrick's tracks are all fire (especially Euphoria and Meet The Grahams and Not Like Us) and (other than 1st Person Sh00t3r and the AI song Drake dropped) everything else that came out was solid too, Cole's one song was 🔥 and even Pushups and Family Matters and Champaign Moments were solid songs that had Drake and Rick Ross (both of who I detest) rapping better than they ever have before, and even if all those other songs weren't good the 3 best Kendrick tracks alone will go down in history as the most vicious and creative diss tracks ever written Real talk bro go check them out cause I can tell that you haven't actually listened to them cause anyone who's old enough and into hiphop enough to know that BDP vs the Juice Crew used to be the greatest battle would know how insane and how much bigger this battle was if they had actually listened to the whole thing, you'll thank me once you hear it all and take the time to process and understand what just happened here, this is a moment in the culture that will go down in history and you'll regret it if you just keep stubbornly remaining willfully ignorant chirping like some out of touch old head the way that you are, and I say this as an old head who is nearly 50 and has been listening to hiphop since elementary school in the early 80's, I just never lost touch with the culture in spite of how trash most of it has been this century, again: you'll thank me later
@jerryhall5759Ай бұрын
@xp8969 I digress; everything you said is 100pct facts, I was way outta line with this one; the drake comparison to mc shan was a perfect analogy and priceless; stay blessed bruh 🙏🏾✊🏾

@@jerryhall5759 thanks bro, honestly it is sooo rare in today's world for anyone to be willing to admit when they're wrong and to give props to someone who pointed it out to them so I def appreciate you taking the time to consider what I said, real talk I hope you enjoy the songs, I've listened to the whole battle (all 12 songs) like 5 times now and I have listened to the three best Kendrick songs more than twenty times each already cause they're just that good, and for what it's worth I agree that the BDP vs Juice Crew battle was legendary and I've listened to the whole thing (both sides, like all 12 songs or however many it was) literally thousands of times over the past several decades, the only other battles I've even come close to re-listening to that many times is all of Shady Records and Aftermaths beefs with the world but once we get more than a few days past this one being brand new the amount of times I re-listen to it will get up that high too lol

Yes, Kendrik is possibly the better, more technical "rapper" but Mr Drake understands that this is entertainment and delivers songs that are highly musical, catchy ("Drop and give me 50"), easy to listen and groove to, laced with humor and sass, and overall a much more well-rounded entertaining experience. With Kendrick, you gotta work for your stuff. And this is from an old man who was around at the dawn of, "Rappers Delight". Both are monster talents, no doubt, but Count me, #teamDrake.
